I might be going tomorrow (friday) and i'll see if its clear enough outside to get a decent shot. I was there last Friday and I dont think it was very visable yet but that was just from the parking lot. It kinda hid behind PT. I'll see what I can get.

yeah, at the angle of it, it looks about 180 (a little shorter than Magnum). Oh well, they still have plenty of time, and it doesn't look like they're quitting on the tower yet.

Actually, from that photo, the tower is at least more than 145 ft. tall. How do I know? Because Mantis is 145 ft. tall and you can obviously see that the tower is above that. My best guess: about 170 ft.

Mantis is also closer to the camera in that shot so it would make the towers a little smaller.

It's not that tall! I mean c'mon it hasn't even been annouced and vertical construction is less than a month in (subtracting 3 days a week for HW's)...pfff it's tiny!

Really people, it's pretty tall considering the circumstances.

Wouldn't that make the new ride APPEAR smaller?

That's what I meant...comparing it to Mantis, it's even taller than the big bug even though it's much further away. It appears smaller because of the distance between the two, yet its much taller.

If you look at the tower while on Magnum, it look about 200ft tall. The image posted is deceiving because it was taken looking up at a perspective to everything

Look at it this way. "Dragster" and PT are roughly at the same distance from the camera there, they are basically in line with each other and "Dragster" appears to be about 2/3 the height of PT. Which would be about 200 feet.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?
