New pictures have been posted at the website from 10/5. Check it out, some of the pools look to be full. BTW, did anyone else recieve a Castway Bay packet in the mail?

I think the next couple of years, I'm going to plan a trip up there. I've never been to a place with an indoor wavepool!(Which are, in my opinion, the best water attractions.)
Proud holder of Cedar Fair stock!
The only way I really enjoy a wave pool is if they ban tubes in them. Too many times have I been enjoying a wave pool only to have somebody in tube, with no control over their direction, roll right over me while I'm trying to catch a breath. Otherwise, they are a blast and I enjoy them immensly, I just hope they don't allow tubes to be brought into at least one wave pool (if they do have more than one).

Has anyone gotten in the mail info about Castaway Bay. I've just gotten it ,and it has a nice map of the bay and rooms. Plus the 6,000 spuare foot arcade. Yepee.
Did they send the packets to season pass holders? I'm a CP season pass holder and I don't receive any of their mailings, I'm guessing because I'm so far away from their advertising market. Each year I request a Getaway guide and year after year, I'm disappointed by not receiving it. :(
The Amazement Park
I haven't followed closely enough... are they renovating the rooms, or have they replaced the furniture in recent years? Last time I stayed there (circa 1999 or 2000) the rooms were showing a lot of wear and tear.

I think they did renovate the rooms, plus they changed the configuration of some rooms to make suites. They are also renovating and theming all the public areas in the hotel, like the restaurant and deli areas.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Is anyone planning on visiting Castaway Bay during it's opening weekend? How do you think it compares to other indoor water resorts in the area. Is it worth it? It doesn't seem like it offers much, is there room for expansion?
The Amazement Park
If Im correct, I believe that Castaway Bay is currently the largest indoor waterpark in Ohio...Hence Great Wolf (Bear) Lodge changing their signs to Ohio's First Indoor Waterpark. It appears the new indoor waterpark (Kalimari??) going in on 250 south of town will be even larger, but I don't know this for a fact. I think the sheer fact that CB will have a Master Blaster is enough for one visit, and the rates seem pretty competitive as well!

I like the fact that CP is actually doing a nice job of theming. CB looks awesome! Rock formations everywhere (almost everywhere) and I love the look of the ceiling. Can't wait to visit!
