Caps Above Traffic Lights On TTD

I just noticed by looking at some 07' pics on Pointpixels that TTD got rid of those caps above the lights on the TTD tower. When did they get rid of these? And why?

Maybe to make it more visible in other parts of the park.

I would say they're less visible without the caps, but that's just me. Last year one or two were missing, so instead of replacing them they took them all off.

I think it actually looks brighter without the caps if you are close to the ride, but much less so elsewhere in the park.

It probably more like they have been blown off by the wind and not replaced. I think a few of them are still left.

You're close. The top left and bottom right caps were blown off early last season (the same storm that tore the lazer screen) and they were not replaced in 06. They decided to take the rest off since replacing them wasn't a big concern.

The lights are still very visible from miles away with or without those covers. I miss those nights sitting down at Corkscrew's entrance, just watching, and measuring the one or two guest that came through in an hour, of course.

Gone the way of the tires/spoiler/engine. :)
