Can't wait for May!

Hey folks! Long time, no post. Gonna be heading for the Point in May as part of ANOTHER gathering of nutty U2 fans. This time with a trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame thrown in for good measure . . .

Is it just me, or does Dragster look a tad scary? I have sworn friends to secrecy (because I cannot withstand the mocking of an 8-year old kid who's all hot to ride the thing), but it looks ALMOST too scary to ride. It's the Top Hat. That, and the Plunge. DANG! I break out in a cold sweat just thinking about it. I can't WAIT! heh heh heh

Anyway - I have been peer-pressured into attempting to conquer the EVIL BUZZARD (aka - RAPTOR). It's almost an ego thing. I CAN ride the thing without puking! I think I can, I think I can!

Actually, last time may have been an abberation. It was at the end of a very long and exciting day. It could have just been bad-timing that resulted in my projectile response to the ride.

BUT, since I'm being practically FORCED into the attempt, I have a plan. I need to be sure that I am properly loaded with ammunition just in case the ride actually DOES make me launch, spew, ralph, toss-cookies, blow chunks, etc. Here's what I have in mind: Midway Market. Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Salad, and Coffee for content. Lots and lots of Blueberry Cobbler for color and texture.

I think this will be very effective.

Well, if you knew anything about Raptor Ralpher and WHY he calls himself that, you would know what this post has to do with anything...

go back to Trip Reports, do a search for Raptor Ralpher and you'll see why...

its actually quite funny...

it aint the size of the arrow, its what you do with the bow....

Heck, I didn't know the story in advance, but Raptor Ralpher's post is completely self-explanitory.

Color and texture! Hilarious!

"If we go any faster, she'll blow apart for sure!"

But it IS obvious that some of us are in need of a coaster fix

Whatever. At least I'm not offensive.

Goofy? YES! Irrelevant? OF COURSE!

That's how I want to be.

Where does it say that I HAVE to be serious and relevant?

It DOES say that this is the forum for "General Unofficial Cedar Point Discussion."

While the whole ammunition thing WAS gross; at least I'm not rude, insulting, and spuriously proprietary.

Thank you for that fair warning. Remind me in May not to sit in back of you!! I'll be sure to bring enough of the g-ma's coffee beans to brew on the day. (That's uber strong java, folks) to settle your stomach.
The post was funny.

I agree with the TTD statements. I feel like the only sissy around because everyone else is so stoked about riding it.

I am entirely terrified. Shear terror....yep, that's what I feel knot up inside me when I think of TTD (aka to me, Mammouth tower of death 2) I can barely handle the Power Tower. I will ride it. I have to. It's part of the sickness, you just have to ride what they build, at least once.

Raptor is a phenominal ride. Gut loading = bad idea (at least for fellow riders) Go with empty stomach, drink lots of water, especially if it's hot. Good luck :)

Cedar Point is closed for the season. Reason? Freezin!

I dunno about lots of water, especially if it's your first time. People under the midway might get rained on a little, at least if the person's wearing short shorts. :)
