Canada's Wonderland Splash Works?

Has anyone been to the Splash Works portion of Canada's Wonderland? I couldn't find a map and limited info on their website. We are headed up there in a few weeks and the park looks great but I was wondering if the water park is worth going to. If someone could offer a comparison to Soak City I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Thanks

Splash Works is attached to the back of Canada's Wonderland so you'll find it in the regular park map.

Got it, thank you!! It looks like some of the waterslides actually go over one of the roller coasters, looks pretty neat.

My family and I visited in mid-June. It was a decent waterpark, however tucked way back in the rear of the park. It seems to need updated. The Guardian Mountain new attraction is very good for those ages 6-12. Decent park which is a good addition to the Cedar Fair Family.

One thing I really loved about Canada's Wonderland is that all of the Fast Lane queues on the rides that I went on go directly into the station instead of some merge point into the regular line. Got you on the ride even faster. I wish all of the Cedar Point queues would be set up like that, especially MF which has that long queue on the ramp Fast Lane users have to wait in.

Does CW have any rides that are as popular and low capacity as MF? Given those constraints at CP, it makes a lot of sense to have the merge point where it is.

It's "wait less", not "wait one ride cycle". The reduction in wait should be proportionate to the standard queue wait.

I think it has everything to do with the ease of modifying the queue and has nothing to do with making Fast Lane users wait longer so the regular line users don't whine as much. MF had a direct station access queue for Fast Lane which was discontinued presumably because of the need for an extra attendant. It's all about cost.

I would say Behemoth at CW is as popular as MF at CP. Behemoth with Fast Lane was wonderful, max wait time for me of about 10 min. with most waits less than 5 min. when the regular line was about an hour. Got about 10 rides on Behemoth, a wonderful airtime filled ride BTW.

So, how do they manage the merge point now?

Well, I believe the savings came because they don't need a entrance person on Fast Lane and another for the regular line. The person at entrance now takes care of both Fast Lane and the regular line. The merge point person obviously is still there. Some rides at CP do have direct station access for Fast Lane, like MaXair and Maverick, it probably just depends how easily and efficiently the queue could be modified. CP would do well with direct station access because there would be value in buying Fast Lane on slow days, there is no value in buying Fast Lane and waiting just as long as non-Fast Lane people for MF and Gatekeeper for example.

Anyway, that's all I have to say on this, don't want to turn this thread into another Fast Lane debate. Just wanted to point out that CW is a very nice park and their Fast Lane is more valuable and a better experience than Fast Lane at CP.

Fair enough. I just don't see where the cost savings would come from, as presumably there's always going to be someone working the merge point, whether it's at the ramp or in the station.
