I'm male and last summer I had a 40" waist. Dragster and Millenium's belts were tight to the point where it was tough to buckle them. Wicked Twister was the only ride that I was unable to ride because the shoulder harness wouldn't push back far enough against my chest (whereas the shoulder harness on Raptor was not an issue).
During this summer's visit I was down to a 38" waist and could comfortably buckle all ride belts. I didn't even bother trying Wicked Twister since I was battling motion sickness.
If all the players are ready...at the sound of the bell, ROLL EM!
I have a waist of 40 inches and I was unable to ride TTD and MF but was able to ride Millenium about 5 or 6 years ago the last time I was at the park. I believe they have made the seat belts shorter. I was also not able to ride Wicked Twister but was fine with everything else. Each person is different and the only way to tell is to actually try the seats out. I don't agree with the seat restrictions for TTD and MF, they are great rides and it limits a large number of people that would love to ride them.
And to let you know I am 6'3" and 270 pounds, not fat but built more like a football linebacker.
I would feel bad for any football player who wanted to go to the park because of the restrictions. Some of the over the head restraints also are tight depending on your chest.
the best seats are definitely on Maverick.
Little know trick that might help out many riders...
If you wear cargo pants to the park or have additional pockets outside of the posterior area, move your wallet, cell phone, and any other items to those pockets. Not only will you be more comfortable, it actually will reduce the distance between the belt by as much as a few inches by not having them in an area that factors into the seat belts.
Another note is that on MF, the second rows of seats have an additional inch or two of leg room from the back of the seat to the front bar.
Just make sure you button those pockets so you don't end up visiting the lost & found later.
I am not so sure it's the waist or the stomach... I'm having problems too here trying to figure it out. I went in May of 2002 and tried to get on the dragster, didn't fit and had to take the walk of shame (as my hubby puts it) and well, I did get back into it months later (of strict dieting) and then was fine until about four years ago or so.. went on medication, blew up again... finally now I lost a bunch of weight , waist is 35" but my stomache isn't yet so I'm not so sure that built will fit.. still hesitant. I'm trying to find out how long the belts actually are? Did anyone measure them.. I'll have to when I'm brave enough to try it again I guess. lol
Live each day to the fullest, you never know just when that last day will be : )
