Can I buy my ride and slide tickets in Michigan and get in early at Breakers

Yes...I avoid paying taxes in Michigan and penny pinching out a few dollars by buying a ride and slide in Michigan rather then Ohio.
So that said...are the tickets sold at Breakers any different?

I don't want to be denied early entry for that. Thanks

The early entry is completely separate from the tickets.

At check-in, you will receive a "resort id". Basically just a small square of stock paper with your reservation info on it that has the CP Resorts logo at the top. You show this to get in early.

They never check for the early entry passes at the Magnum gate. In all my years of staying at Breakers I have only been asked for it once.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away.

Last trip in (bout 2 months) they were doing "general checks" for the resort ID card. However as kbp states - I could see you simply slipping in with the crowd if the conditions were right. Just remember not to cry foul if they say "NO" and make you stand to the left. The rooms are expensive at the resort properties and folks don't like getting cheated by those of us who are opportunistic by nature.

I am staying at Hotel Breakers :)

I get in early....but over the phone they suggested I buy my tickets in Ohio at the hotel when I get there.

Michigan has no tax on an Ohio product, and Ohio's tax rate is higher then Michigan's I believe.

Buy them wherever you want - the tickets will be the same.

They have been checking for resort IDs/JCC everytime I've gone back there. Remember if you are planning on going to the park the morning before you check in you can preregister at the hotel and get your resort ID and/or buy discounted tickets (you can start to preregister starting at 8:30am) therefore you would be able to go in for early entry.

When I was there on Monday they appeared to be checking for resort/JCC at the resort gate. Of course, to prove my point about how few non-resort people go through there, the "crowd" waiting to get in was less than 10 people.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I am not talking about buying Tickets from MICH, because I'm from Ohio. I was looking at the Pricing going up $1 at CP for the Tickets for the Regular, Ride & Slide, and everything else.

I have a Season Pass for 2007; my family doesn't, and they would like to go. Why do you think they raised the price up?

The price is the same. There is no tax on the tickets on Michigan or Ohio.

Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.
