Can employees get in trouble if they leak any info about future plans? I wasn't sure wether to place this in the Employee Lounge or not. I posted this because I was told something by a employee at the Wicked Twister gate while waiting to be let in in the morning.

Anyone who knows anything real also knows enough not to chat people up about it at ride entrances.
So, to answer your question: yes. But that's not what happened here.
I know they are not suspose to speak and I defiently don't want to get anybody in trouble. I just thought the plans kinda made sense but I think it is something Cedar Point will not attempt.

well you've already said too much in retrospect. Just dont say where you heard it. =P
I doubt it's at all true, but hey, we can always use some entertainment around here.
I remember a employee trying to tell me at the end of 2002 when dragster had already made it up about 200 feet that it was going to be an office building. I felt so let down when we didn't get a bright yellow office building in the middle of the park.
Those who know don't talk, and those that talk don't know(tm)!
Yes, we can get in serious trouble for divulging company secrets (I work at GL, but that is also CF). Seasonal employees generally know little to nothing about sensitive information anyway though, so I would not trust what someone at the front gate told you.
Employees may sometimes joke with you, but you have to realize that they generally don't know. And if we do find something out, most of us are smart enough to keep are lips sealed.
I am very careful about what I post on these boards. Park management reads what is posted online, and if you are caught divulging secret information...

Well the only reason I posted this was because It went along with two things I have heard.
1. The 2007 going away present.
2. The old boardwalk idea.
I wasn't the only one she told there was alot of people there who was listening to her. She said this was her seventh season at the point.

The employee probably reads Pointbuzz and was just telling some of the rumors she read on this board. It's way to early for anyone other than top management to know about 2007.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
For God's sake... it was me that made up the boardwalk idea years ago. Let me say it again... I made it up. Granted, it seemed like a good idea at the time, and there was certainly a fair amount of evidence that pointed in that direction, but I still made it up.

Well this is a Rumor that I never heard on Pointbuzz before. I was told that the project would start at the end of this year and open in 2007. She said this would be the going away present.
I have such a hard time believing this because well I'm just gonna tell you what I heard. I heard they were going to build the worlds tallest and fastest and longest wooden roller coaster. She said they would take out Disaster Transport, and the Water Stadium. And the Giant Wheel would once again be moved along with Trokia and it would also extend into the parking lot.
After the Mean Streak being kinda of a failure do to roughness and after riding the Son of Beast I don't think they will attempt the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster.
This does bring back the boardwalk idea(Which Jeff totally made up) rumored before the Wicked Twister was built but If anything I would like to see something like the Villian. I mean the Villian is a great wooden roller coaster. But insted of placed infont of the Wicked Twister I would love to see the Water Stadium taken out and have the station and line there and have a nice long out an back wooden coaster like the Villian that would go down way towards the parking lot.
NOW I PROMISE I am not making any of this up I really was told this. I am not the kind of person that comes on this site and makes up ridicolus stuff like that.

hmmm maybe it will be a 501ft florless wooden rollercoaster. ill ask the lemon chill guy in the morning
It would be kinda cool if they built a giant out and back woodie along the beach that runs towards the few houses beside the parking lot and back ala Shivering Timbers. But again, that would be wooden and we all know how few woodies CP has built in the past few years...(0).

Ya but wouldn't a big woodie that did not break the tall or fast records but was just a great all out ride be wonderful on the beach over there?

Like I said Cory, only top management knows about 2007. Tallest and fastest wooden coaster? I would think that would be about last on the list of choices, unless the milled track technology out of Europe is really that good.
