Camping near CP

Hello i was planning a trip to Cp this summer and would like to camp in order to save some cash. Can anyone give me a list of the closest camp sites?

We have stayed at Bayshore. I really like the campground but I hate the train in the middle of the night. It has a great location and it does allow tent camping.

If you have a camper the closest camping area is Camper Village. By staying there, not only will you be on point but you will enjoy the perks associated with being a resort guest (free parking, early entry, etc.)

No, I am not trying to plug my own department.;)

Bayshore has always been my favorite. Full hook-up (water, sewer, electric and cable) is $32 until June 24th then its $41. Yes, a train does run across he highway but after awhile you do not notice it. But if you stayed on Point you get the noise from the coasters. And they do run them late at night after the parks close for maintenance no matter what anybody says.

Excellent security, clean restrooms and showers. They have a bus to drop-off/pick-up at any gate for a nominal fee. Great place if you are going to makean extended CedarPoint trip. You can spend a week here for what it would cost one night at Breakers. *** Edited 5/28/2004 12:56:59 AM UTC by Point4Life***

Just booked Bayshore for $35 a night, for tonight and Saturday.
I haven't stayed there yet, but we are camping at Bayshore tomorrow night and Sunday night. We got a primitive site for $12/night. We're sleeping in the back of our SUV. What can I say, we're cheap. : )

Strike that, $20/night, I thought we were staying at Crystal Rock, but it's Bayshore. We aren't so cheap afterall! : )

Here's a tip for Bayshore. The bathroom/showers in the full-hookup RV area are much nicer and not as busy as the ones in the back. It might be a little longer walk but it's worth it.
