Camping

A couple of buddies and myself are planning on going to GL for a camping trip. Where is a good place to camp, aside from the GL campground itself?

There is camping near GL? I didn't know that.

Yea, the geauga lake camp ground is VERY expensive. It was in the neiborhood of $38 a night just to pitch a tent. Even the disney campground is cheaper than that.

Even the campgrounds near cedarpoint are cheaper than the geauga lake campground. I refuse to pay that mch for a camp site, the most that I have paid for a camp site was at hershey park....it was around $26 a night.

For the price of the campground you could get a room at a local hotel.

There is a Yogi Bear campground not far from the park. It will be more expensive (as all Yogi campgrounds are) because they offer so many activities and whatnot.
