We recently bought a pop-up camper and I just made reservations today for the camper village. Has anyone every stayed here and have any suggestions/tips?
My parents and I stayed there a few times. The last time we stayed was the year after Magnum opened. I was very young the times we stayed, so I can't give you any pointers really, but I do seem to remember my dad being relatively happy with the campground and facilities, and he is VERY critical of campgrounds.
Enjoy your stay!
Well since I seem to be one of the few (or maybe only) people on the board that camps at Camper Village every year, I will respond. You should enjoy your stay at Camper Village. It is really cool to be camped right next to all of the actions and surrounded by roller coaster mountains. If you want your campsite to be quiet, then try to get a spot as close to the lake as possible.
When the main portion of Camper Village used to be larger, you could literally camp right next to the pull out of Magnum's first hill. We were camped right around there the first year that Magnum opened and it made for one noisy evening (although I personally didn't mind.) Now, Soak City is in that area, so you are not quite as apt to get a noisy camping spot, but closest to the water is definately the most peaceful area.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
Make sure you take your own snacks/food because the prices at the Camper Store are expensive. Typical of amusment park prices. If you can, try to request Circle B. It is the area closest to Soak City, Challenge Park, and the park entrance. If you are lucky you will hear "OH SH**!" every 10 minutes from the people riding Ripcord.
i have stayed at camper villiage a couple of times, and i think it is great. because you get the luxury of your own stuff at cedar point, and you barbque with magnum in the background. its the best of two worlds. but i just wanted to let you know that it is great, and you will love it.
Camper Village is definately a lot of fun. Talk about an anticipation builder when you can hear Magnum and Gemini testing before you even leave to walk to the park. It's a great deal of fun, not the greatest outdoors camping experience, but definately a lot better (and cheaper) than a hotel further away from the park. Have a great time when you go! :)

Trim brakes-a necessity???
p.s.-
Either get to the showers extremely early, or wait until the very end of the night, or you will find yourself waiting in a long line.
Don't forget that there will be a new Camper Store and showers built this year, along with a swimming pool and sand volleyball court! :)
