Calculations Possible

Probie,

I wish I was a coaster engineer. It has been a life long dream of mine!

Coaster Freaky

scottie rock said: BirdOfPray00, do us a favor and please remember that this the United States. It may be hard for you, but it's pretty easy for everyone else, and I don't want you to be looked at as an idiot.

Why would I be looked at as an idiot for thinking that this is a European company and thus they would use their system of measuring? And why should I remember that this is the United States? I'm from Cleveland, I live here. What would be hard for me? All that I'm saying is that the company is probably using metrics and then the park is then converting that measurement into our standard measurement.

Because the point is that the ride was ordered by Americans to market to an American audience. I'm sure every nut and bolt is metric, but you've never get a ride here that was "100 meters" because people wouldn't know what you're talking about.

That said, it's not a round number either way, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

I agree Jeff. It doesn't matter. Its huge, its going to be great, and the fact that its metric or standard doesn't matter. I was just giving an estimated guess of height, using their system. Thats all.

It does not matter that this is the United States when it comes to measuring this. Plenty of things are metric here. Any foreign manufacturer is not going to change the way they build things just because it is to be assembled in the United States. I don't care either I just want to ride.
O.K. think about it, Intamin built MF and # 16 but when Mf was nnounced to the public they didn't come out and say the final height in meters so apparently they will announce # 16 in feet, not meters.

According to my calculations, from the pictures at Virtual Midway, the new ride measures around 380 feet. BUT - with the base of each coaster being so far apart, there is no question in my mind that this coaster stretches well into four hundred feet - for some reason, I would think that it is a goal for Cedar Point to have a coaster that reaches 420 feet.

Nevertheless, this ride is going to be great, even if it didn't reach the height of Supermanthescape at SFMM, the elements of #16 are truely promising. I wonder what the price tag is on a 400+ ft. coaster.

over 400 feet?!? Okie Dokie sure!

And I quote....

Jeff Said,

"Suffice it to say that this ride will be the tallest roller coaster in the world."

You will know how much a 400+ ft coaster costs when this is announced.
