I just looked at the Good Time Cam. And it looks to me like CP has put the buckets on the Giant Wheel. Can anyone confirm??? All i know is that it didn't loook like that yesterday.
yes they are on. I watched them do it yesterday.
Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved
Was there any doubt that the Giant Wheel's gondolas would be put back on?
I don't understand this obsession with ride testing. The park will be operational on opening day, the people working at CP know how to do it.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I just saw someone carry a box of t-shirts into a gift shop!

It seems like its been an eternity since CP has been open and since i have ridden Maverick.. i truly do miss it also..CANT WAIITT! :)
Eternity is a long time. Its not even been 6 months. Which may sound like a lot, but think back 6 months ago....October 18, 2007. It was a Thursday, and there were two more Halloweekends before the park finally closed for the season.

I think everyone that mocks people for getting excited about ride testing and other preparations for opening day looks like an idiot, especially when they are the operator of a Cedar Point fan site. By the same token, I could say you're all idiots for following the construction of their new rides; after all, it'll be ready by opening day (maybe) and the people building it know what they're doing, right? You guys are what, 30 or 40 years old, and you're hanging out on an Internet forum and making fun of some kids getting excited about opening day? Yeah, really cool!

Thanks!! I was looking at it this morning and with the bad sun glare I couldn't make out if the buckets where on or not.
And from what I hear, they were testing it today as well. Along with a few other rides.

I personally like watching the construction take place. I don't watch it daily and for hours on end. But I do check up on it every few days. It's interesting to see the progress they make in a matter of days/weeks. I think that everything will be done in time for Opening Day. They work weekends and they seem to do a lot throughout the day/week. I really think that the only thing really left to do in PS is some landscaping like the rest of park along with some construction clean up. Other than that everything looks to be about done.
Are you guys really that dense? Every post I've made tonight is filled with sarcasm aimed at the "adults" here who pick on kids for getting excited about CP's opening. I'm sticking up for you guys and you're too dumb to realize it.
Oh No.You again? Are you going to go into every thread, complain, and then get it locked?

i know you were...i was just giving my insite on watching the webcams. I wasn't trying to pick a fight or anything. I think you are the one having troubles reading peoples posts. I was just giving my opinion. I wasn't saying that you were right or wrong. I'm sorry that you missunderstood me. I was only giving my POV on the topic.
Anyone else want to waste bandwidth? Seriously... we're so close to the season actually beginning. I could do without the douchebaggery around here.
