Bubbles Bar (Is it a pool or a ride?)

Well, the title basically says it all. Tried searching the threads for an answer... either it's not here, or I'm more tired than I think.

Somewhere during my Internet travels, I think I read someplace that the Bubbles Bar wasn't licensed as a pool due to 'electricity being too close,' but rather as a ride.

Mikey (Olympic10086) and I were discussing it while playing NTN at GameWorks the other night... and he suggested I post the question here. (Gee, why didn't I think of that on my own?)

Thanks,

Aaron

Well, here's the official description off of the Cedar Point website:

An area just for guests over 21 with a soaking spa, pool, and Bubbles swim-up bar. Also featuring lounge areas with televisions playing music videos and sporting events.

So, I guess it's a bar AND an attraction...

I heard the story of the bar being licensed as a ride also, don't know where I heard it from though. For practical puposes, it is not a ride, though it is the area of Soak City I frequent most often.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

There are SO MANY things I could say about this but I like visiting the site and don't want to be banned.

That's right, CP is a family park. For the best rides outside of CP, you need to visit Put-In-Bay! :)

So essentially Cedar Point is a family park, but Put-In-Bay is the place for making families...;)

The Matrix: Reloaded!

Heh... I don't think I want to hear any stories.

If anyone does know if the 'rumor' is true, please let me know. If not, maybe later this week, if I have some time, I'll try and hunt down the info from some records offices, or maybe they'll be online if I'm lucky.

When CP says 68 rides does that count soak city rides too?

I don't believe so, but it DOES include all those little tykes rides that spin in circles that only the 4 and under set can ride.
