Brew and BBQ is coming to Cedar Point May 22-24 and 29-31. Two weekends of barbecue, live music and more than 100 craft, micro and specialty beers at the park's new Lakeside Pavilion.

Nice! 40oz of beer and 5 small plates of BBQ food for $15 is a really good deal.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I guess they had to leave out the bands so Shamu wouldn't come knocking. :)

It's really great to see the park jumping in on the events like other parks. This along with Grad Night should be great for the park.
This sounds like a really cool event. The $15 is a great price for what you are getting. I like how CP is continuing to increase the activities utilizing the beach area. Finally using that amazing asset they have that sets CP apart from other parks.

This sounds awesome! $15 for a season pass holder is cheap. I would save around $30 compared to buying 3 $10 beers and what I would spend on food. I can't wait to stay at hotel Breakers, go to this event, and hang out at the Wicked Twister Midway. Can't wait!
Looks like we'll have to stop by for this one of those weekends. I hope they continue to hold events like this at the new Lakeside Pavilion, some BBQ and Rougabrew sounds great right about now.
I'm wondering if soft drinks will be available for us non-drinkers? I love BBQ and want to buy a ticket but i Don't drink...thoughts?
They might have soft drinks, but the event is called Brew and BBQ. Not trying the beer seems to defeat the purpose of the event, you might be better off just going to Famous Dave's.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
That's kinda like telling people they should not bother with Cedar Point and just go to a local carnival if they don't care to ride some of the coasters.
Agreed Scottyf, people say some messed up things...sheesh. Why wouldn't cedar point take my money??????????
I actually believe there is unlikely to be more than just water available. what they are promoting is a beer festival of sorts, no one under the age of 21 is allowed in.
I don't know what to expect from the BBQ portion of the event, but I have to agree with Pete. if you are really wanting BBQ I'd go to Dave's. that is unless you're going with company that actually does enjoy beer. but $17 (w/tax) dollars for a few "smallplates" of BBQ is a lot
I love Famous Daves, but it's just NOT THE SAME as the Famous Daves in north olmsted. It doesn't even TASTE the same...and i really don't know why!
To back up a sec, to insist that someone should feel compelled to drink alcohol for the sake of a named event when they clearly state they are a non drinker is insensitive. I hope it was a joke.
I'm sure non-alchololic beverages will be available. If not, there's a problem with the event no matter what they call it.
And no one under 21 simply means they don't have to worry about carding anyone. Once you're in, you're in, and you can eat/drink whatever you want.
It's a bit odd to think they would only have alcoholic drinks available, and absurd to think that some people wouldn't be perfectly happy paying the relatively low price just to enjoy some great food and atmosphere.
Something tells me the BBQ will taste better by the lake outside in the new pavilion than it ever would indoors.
Promoter of fog.
Thanks for the supportive comments. It wasn't a joke, i really don't drink. I just want some good BBQ!!
