Breakers Hotel

A question for anyone who stayed at Breakers hotel in the old part. What are the rooms like?

I've heard people staying at the hotels could enter the park at 9:00 and I've heard 9:30. Which is it?

I stayed in a room in the old part last year. I really didn't think our room was that nice, but it was ok. I don't know about the newer rooms. It really didn't bother me though because I was only in their when I was sleeping. You can get into the park 30 minutes early if you stay at one of the resorts.

There is nothing wrong with the older section. The rooms are nice and worth it. They are like any other room. Yes, the east and tower sections are new but I would take a room in the Bon Aire section over them any day!

Remember, you're staying there for the locaton. The rooms are fine, but older and small.

Hotel guests can enter the park at 9:00 am.

Without upstops, airtime would have a whole new meaning!

I will be staying in the Bon Aire section in July, what kinda of view do they have? Not going to spend much time in the room, just wondering.
It depends what kind of room you're staying in. Some have views of the park and some have a view of the beach.

I am staying onthe east wing with the new rooms with a lake view. How is the new section and can I see any coasters with a lake view.
Well when I stayed in a room in the old section, I could see the lake and Wicked Twister. I'm not sure about Breakers East.

we were there this past week and stayed at breakers. we were on 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot where the conference center is...(to the right of the lobby) we had an awesome view of power tower, corkscrew, TTD, MF.. the room is ok.... no different from any other $ 50.00 a night hotel room.. but was worth every bit of the $ 255.00 a night we spent on that room .

I hope that $255 was with a "package deal".

My partner looked at the receipt for the two nights we were there in early June and had a fit! (I pay for it all 'cuz he's a non-rider and just goes along for the vacation. Ooops... forgot the train and Space Spiral. What a daredevil!) It's not like I'm destitute.

I explained that after you subtract the 2 each Starlight passes and full-day passes... the $30 in Munch Money... the $8 a day parking... the 4 passes for minigolf and gokarts... the 10% off restaurant bills (after using Munch Money)... the Soak City passes (which we did not use, by the way)... it ends up being around $115 a night. To me, the convenience factor of being within walking distance to rest, shower and change makes up for the difference comparing it to an off-site (even Breakers Express) m/hotel.

My only "complaint" about our particular room is that the bathroom was tiny tiny tiny. You had to basically close the door to get in the shower (either than or climb over the crapper).

We were let in the park at 9am, sharp.

All said, I'd pay for it again in a heartbeat.

My only real complaint about the Bon Aire wing is the comfort level of the beds, or the lack thereof. These are the most uncomfortable beds in any hotel room that I've ever stayed in. It's about as comparable as the hard floor with micro padding. Breaker's Express on the other hand are among the most comfortable I've experienced.
