Breakdown late at night 6/28

Hi everybody! I'm new to the site, but I always go here for Cedar Point information!

Anyways, i was waiting in line to go on millenium at about 9 on tuesday, it was just after a big thunderstorm, the yellow train was empty and started going up the lifthill and it was making really bad sounds and it stopped 1/3 of the way up, i decided to leave the park because I didnt think it could be fixed anytime soon, when we left the train was still stopped on the hill. Just wondering if anybody knew what caused the cable/train to make the sound and how long it was stuck there

While in line count time between trains on track, divide that number by waiting time on front sign, multiply that number by number of people per train, and you'll get an approximate number of people in line!

The sound was probably the anti-rollback dog. Normally you don't hear the sound because a magnetic field, generated by a wheel that rolls on a flat area of the track, keeps the dog up. The wet track probably let the wheel slip so the magnetic field wasn't powerful enough to keep the dog up, so you heard the sound it makes.

Why it stopped on the lift, can't really say, could be anything from a large number of reasons.

That makes sense, i thought i saw the train start to roll back as it stopped, that yellow train is really having problems lately!
