Bonus Weekend Ride Availability

I always thought that the Friday nights of Bonus Weekends had limited ride availability, just like Fridays during HalloWeekends. However on the CP website I can find no mention of what rides are open tonight. Does anyone know what is open tonight?

I don't think CP limits rides on Friday until hollow weekends, but don't quote me on that

I think the limited ride availability applies to all the bonus weekends. Send an email to cpinfo@cedarpoint.com or call (419)627-2350 to find out for sure.

As far as exactly what rides are closed, I couldn't find a list. It could be that they're playing that part by ear.

This is what rides are open.

Blue Streak, Millenium,Power Tower, Magnum, Wicked Twister, Max Air, Raptor, Cad Cars, Matterhorn Scrambler, Carousel, Cedar Downs, Mantis, Some KK rides,Chaos, Troika. There may be more but iI don't remember all of them.

Rides available (weather permitting) on Fridays: Top Thrill Dragster™, Chaos®, Troika, Blue Streak, Midway Carousel, Raptor®, Cedar Downs, Kiddy Kingdom (6 rides only), Cadillac Cars, Matterhorn, Scrambler, WildCat, Demon Drop, maXair, Iron Dragon, Magnum, Power Tower and Millennium Force®. All other rides and Camp Spooky will be closed on Friday Fright Nights. This the list same as Halloweeekends.

i did notice wicked twister isnt on there but as far as i know its open i saw the crew list. I also thought mantis was opened on Fridays also but maybe I am Mistaken

Wicked Twister was originally not supposed to be open on Friday's, but the plan has kind of changed with Top Thrill Dragster being down indefinitely. Mantis also isn't open on Fridays. *** Edited 9/9/2005 3:21:53 PM UTC by WaterDummy***

Is this the first year that Bonus Weekends has been extended to include Friday Nights? I thought Halloweekends was the only time CP was open on Fridays after Labor Day.

Why do they have limited ride availability anyways?

I think it's mostly because a large number of their employees are students. And, college students especially since they have classes and would need to commute, are unable to get there to work the Friday evening, but can get there to work a Saturday and/or Sunday. *** Edited 9/9/2005 8:09:37 PM UTC by DBCP***

Plus limited availability would push away most guests because they think 'Oh why go if I can only ride a few rides', and it gives people like us a chance to ride with little crowds. Some of my best riding has been on Bonus/Halloweekends Fridays.

Yep, this passed Friday was awesome! Everything that was open was a walk-on all night. A lot of the small food stands and many games were closed. Most, if not all, of the big coasters were open.

I'm exhaused after being there 3 days in a row!
