I was at Cedar Point on Sunday. When we arrived at the park, I saw TTD was running, and began to walk over there, but then the blue train took off, and reached the top, and rolled back. It then happened three more times during the day, with the blue train.
Finally, I get to use my Freeway Pass for Dragster. We got into the station, talked with some woman and her friend who had never been on this before. My brother and I knew that the blue train had rolled back three times already that day, so we wanted it. Well it turned out, we got the red train, and the train in front of us was the blue train. The blue train asked for two single riders, so my brother and I could have gotten on, but in different seats. The gates opened, we hoped onto the red train, and I watched the blue train launch off.
It didn't make it over. It rolled back into launch position, and took off once again, and made it over. We leave the station and get into launch position. We launch, make it over to complete my 15th ride.
All in all, the blue train rolled back four times that day. Does this always happen to the blue train, or was this just coincidence?

Awwww you shoulda gone for the blue ;)
That's crazy though, the only rollbacks that I've seen (well, been able to tell what color) seemed to be random (some black cherry, some red, some etc).

Yes I noticed that it did roll back quite often, I also have noticed that the red train seems to never have a flying chance to roll back because it flys over the top! I had one of the purple trains yesterday and we almost didnt make it, I was quite upset when we slowed down to a crawl but kept going!
Can't you automatically get a rollback if you go on a day that it rains, and just sit at the very front of the black fence for like 3 hours so everyone in the station gets out, and then you can get on the first train and it always rollsback after rain....right?
It rained on Saturday, but on Sunday is was clowdy and extremely humid. All four rollbacks involved the blue train with passengers. The last three rollbacks were obvious, but the very first one, actually stalled for a couple seconds then rolled back.
I only managed to ride TTD once the whole weekend, and that was on the red train, which flew over the top. No chance at a rollback with the red train.
Hopefully I will get a rollback this season...

TTDboy,
They usually test it after the rain so they can get it running with people on it. Most of the times it rollsback during the test runs. And the chances of getting a rollback after rain is good.
But that depends if you can get on the right train.

I was there sunday to and the one time on the red train we acctually got a little air time over the hill and then later I was in the blue train and we rolled back they launched it even harder and just made it over. I asked the one mechanic and he said he thinks one or two wheel fixtures were to tight on the blue train.

when i was there it went like this. The purple trains would almost allways rollback every hour. The blue train would crawl over the top everytime. The red train would fly over the top everytime. The green train was inconsitent. The blue actually almost stalled on top. It went so slow down that it stopped with in 10 feet of the first section of brakes. 15 minute delay to get it back to the unloading station.
