If guests are having a hard time finding Blue Streak, which I doubt, all they have to do is put a sign by the Raptor underpass pointing to it.

I originally thought the Cedars demolition had a legitimate confirmation but the more I look into it, the more it seems like just speculation. Am I missing out on something?
Plus, wouldn't it make sense demolish it now with Good Times Theatre?
I have no problem with dead ends and no problem, really, with the area remaining as is. Just saying, if the park were to make the area more accessible, more people would get to enjoy my favorite coaster in the park. Re-arranging Corral, maybe, and adding more walkways under Raptor. And a sign.
I don't think most guests have any problem finding Blue Streak, but I wouldn't be at all surprised that there are people in the park daily, buying French fries, seeing Blue Streak there in the distance and never finding their way to it, despite being only yards from the Raptor underpass.
Some people are just impressively oblivious, whether they can't find the theatre from the lobby, Cinderella Castle from Main Street or Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) from across the street.
I, for one, will never be able to find the "Willis Tower" even if directed there by Bruce Willis himself. It will always be the Sears Tower to me.

What made me a bit crazy at the time was that apparently Willis Group got the right to re-name the tower by renting three floors and dropping some extra change. I'd have thought the company that owns the building would want to sell the naming rights to one of the country's most iconic skyscrapers to the highest bidder, not the folks who just happened to ask.

Tell me if I am wrong, but i believe that it has been hinted that they wish to move more housing off the point. I believe they bought a good sized portion of land just accross the street south of Castaway bay. In google maps it shows up as a farm field with road access to Cleveland rd. The area is larger than the area that Cedars takes up and is probably a 5min shuttle ride from the park. The Cedars are not in the greatest condition and with space accross the road and obvious future development I would not be surprised to see them go.

I am not saying that Cedars shouldn't go. I'm asking if they tear it down this winter where will they put the employees that lived there. They are not building any new dorms at this time. And you are a correct, CP would like to move all employee housing off the point.
Logically yes, new housing must be built before you remove the old, which frankly should have been done forty years ago. But a certain former CEO said "it was good enough for me" why should we get rid of it?"
Ofcourse they aren't going to tear down the Cedars yet, but I wouldnt be surprised to seem them down within a few years.
Keep in mind that the last time an on-point dorm was removed (gold, right?), there were "leaked" plans for the new off-point replacement facility. So far, we haven't heard of any potential replacement for Cedars. That doesn't mean that we would see documents in advance this time, but until further notice, the demolition of Cedars remains in the "future - highly likely but unconfirmed" category. I say highly likely because, as mentioned before, Matt Ouiment is most displeased with the state of housing he inherited. He's probably just trying not to overload the budget by doing everything at once, since the new buildings are potentially $1+ million each.
They could contract some other company to build a dorm and run it, akin to what college do these days. *shrug*

I don't picture Cedar Fair giving up profits to another company anytime soon, when they have been managing housing for a hundred years.
