Blue Streak becoming Blue Squeak?

Has anyone else heard the squeaking on the turnaround back to the station?? Just wondering..

Had it rained the day you heard it? They do a pretty good job of keeping that track graphited, but rain rinses it all right off and makes it start squealing.

I noticed it also. We mini-marathoned it on Thursday, and it did it every time. It's still a great ride. :)

We rode it before it rained that day twice, and it was squeaking, then we rode it after the storm, and it was much more noticeable.

OMG we had to practically plug our ears on MS last time because it was so loud!  Is that from the metal wheels on metal?

I have not heard the Mean Streak squeak once this year.  I guess it's finally getting a little attention.

I haven't heard anything much in the way of squeaking from either of the Streak coasters this year.

Dream viewspot at CP: The middle support on the first turn on Millennium Force.

Everytime I was there Mean Streak was squeaking. The first turn heading towards the lift the train squeaks. I dont know how you can miss it. But it doesnt seem to make the ride anymore rough. The sound just gets a bit annoying after a while.

I almost like the sound, it is one of those things that you hear every time you ride it (me atleast) and its something I will always remember.  Im odd like that but that sound has some sentimental value, like Magnums lift.  Those sounds are so unique...ahhh...makes me think of better times lol

When I was at CP this year it was Millenium Squeak! Okay...that doesn't work, but the Force sure was loud on the turn over the crowd. Probably the loudest squeak in the park when I was there.
