How is Blue Streak running this year? I heard it ran great last year but never got to ride it. I never really went to that area of the park. All I know is that BS is usually always a walk on after 6. It is usually very crowded though early in the day when the park first opens up.
I think it is running great again this year. Great speed on the turn around. To me it is a hidden gem in the park. My only complaint is the awful brake control system. Seems like someone should be able to tune it a little better.
The trend I have noticied is walk-on first thing in the morning, then gets busy, but by late afternoon it is empty again.
I love the Blue Streak. Amazing airtime in the back of the train. I think it has more air than Magnum in the back.
I'll be Coasting for Kids on June 9th

I have ridden it a few times this year. The front seat has air on every hill including going into the brake run. The speed made the turn around a bit rough. But, if that's the trade-off, I'll gladly take it. It's running great this year.

I've always like Blue Streak, it is the hidden gem of the park.

Yeah man, back seat on that thing is where it's at. Glad to hear that she's running like a champ this year.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
I love Blue Streak. If Mean Streak was just as comfortable to ride as Blue Streak, Cedar Point would have two great wooden coasters.
Agreed...BS is a great ride. It seemed a little bit rougher on the turn around this year than I remembered last year, but still a very satisfying ride.
Man do I miss those old buzz bars and the wooden hand brake though. It's just so easy to get stapled with the orange bars, and then it really kills the ride and becomes painful on the air hill. As already mentioned, the abrupt brakes seem unecessary as well.
Why did everything have to change again? Was it mandatory new code requirement, or did Cedar Fair make the changes just to make the ride safer for guests?
They did this to the Beast's brakes as well, and they just feel so much more grabby now in their magnetic form. The Beast is still a great ride, but feeling strong jolting brakes throughout the ride is a buzz killer. What was wrong with the old skid brakes?
