Blue Box

I'm sure this is a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyway. In the 4/29 picture of the green train, is that blue box on the back of the front row seat part of the camera rigging. I don't know much about camera rigs so I figured I'd check with you guys. Thanks.

I would say it is, it looks rather out of place, like it's just temporary.

If they aren't doing a wireless rig, that little box is where they put the tape machine. I'm guessing they'll use a DVCAM "Walkman" much as they did for MF. You've probably seen them before when news "investigators" show video of slacking public employees on TV.

The tape deck is rigged to a small "lipstick" camera with those one of those blasted wide-angle lenses.

I was wrong though. Turns out they had wireless transmitters in the boxes, and cut back to antennae they had on top of the gift shop. Same idea, and probably a better one. I don't know how well a tape mechanism would work under that pressure.
