Best time to go (Weekends/Summer)

I will be turning 17 next year in April, so I will legally be allowed to drive past 10:00 pm (Michigan Law), and was thinking about buying a season pass so I can go regularly. I only live about 2 hours away, so distance isn't a big issue as I can just do a 1-day trip. So, with that being said, when are the best times to go? I have school so I can't do weekdays, but are weekends more busy than weekdays? I say this because last time I went (August), I bought a fast pass plus and was able to get on every ride I wanted to.

Look at the operating calendar. Also look at hotel availability and room rates. The dates with the latest closings are typically the busiest, which starts in July and goes through August. Weekends in the fall depend largely on the weather, but they do get mobbed when the weather is nice. May and early June, during the week, are the best times to go.

The business season is based primarily on public school scheduling. Basically from Mid June to mid August, the park is very busy. Weekend crowds are lightest on Sundays before and after that timeframe. Saturdays are pretty busy all season.
