So, let me begin by saying Magnum ERT this past Friday was EPIC. Don't know what was different but it was so much fun!!
On to the topic of discussion, what is you favorite seat on any ride and why?
Second to last seat on Millennium Force, shout out to the one, the only Tony Clark for turning, my son and I on to this seat. Best seat in the house hands down! Smooth ride, not sitting on a wheel so it you get that back seat feel with out the roughness of the bumps!
What's yours, any ride.....
I've ridden the second to the last seat on MF just about every time if ever ridden, and I agree it's the best. I've taken a couple of front seat rides and thought it was ok, but certainly not worth the wait. I'm one to usually gravitate to the front seat of the last car on any ride, though, as It gives the backseat experience with a better view and no one's hair in your face.
Exceptions would be inverts or good airtime rides like Blue Streak. Oh, and Mean Streak is front seat or I don't go.
I would definitely NOT recommend sitting in the last seat on Gemini. We went down that first hill and I hit my back on the seat, knocking the wind out of me! I made a lot of unattractive noises for the remainder of the ride, ouch! However, the back seat on Maverick was awesome. I had no idea what was coming the entire time and I loved it. Also first seat on Magnum is my favorite place to be in the park!
Back seat of Maverick is our favorite as well. On MF, we enjoy any seat- just happy to be riding it. But my daughter picks the seat. She always gravitates to the middle back, right where the small control box/ phone is. TopThrill, we just rode yesterday for the first time, lol. We sat in the back, so have nothing to compare it to. But it was so fun & exciting, it didn't matter !
Keep passing the fun along!

If I feel like crazy airtime but also a painful experience, then the ejector seat in 1-3. But if not, then a smooth, fun ride in a middle row of any car, preferably toward the front or back of the train.

One trick on Magnum is to pull the seat belt as tight as you can so that does the work of holding you down instead of the lap bar. Pain free Magnum rides, even in the ejector seat.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Yeah, my question for Magnum now is what is the smoothest seat? No more ejector seat for me, I feel like I was in a fight after riding Magnum lately.
I used to be a back seat rider always, since bringing the kids we sit pretty much anywhere in between front and back, but we do like waiting for the front for Raptor many times.

If the ejector seat is too much to handle, I suggest either car 5 seat 2 (5-2) or car 6 seat 2 (6-2). In general, the first or second row of a car will be a smoother experience and more comfortable since the wheel housing isn't at your feet as it is in the third row of a car.

Thanks, I've tried to avoid the ejector seat now but still feeling beat up, I will look out for your recommendations, thanks!

^and to add to that, how does seat numbering work?

One Magnum, the third row of the first car (1-3) has been fondly called the ejector seat for a very long time because it supposedly delivers the most intense "ejector" air of any seat on the train. I used to ride it almost exclusively, but I'm getting old so my favorite seat these days is 6-2 (2nd row of the 6th car).

Ok, ok, ok, I rode the "ejector seat" for the first time last night and my oh my what a ride!!!
Nice!!!!

This week we tried that second to last seat on MF and didn't like it as much as our usual second seat, first car.
Then we rode Blue Streak for the first time in years, and got beat up! Actually had to hold on instead of hands in the air to avoid the jarring.
Guess we're done with that ride after fifty years. Nice memories though.
