Best route from Cedar point to Geauga Lake

We will be going to The Point in August for five days and would like to make a day trip to Geauga Lake. What is the best way to get there from The Point. My little one just loves the foam ball factory

From previous knowledge: Get off the Turnpike at Streetsboro. Follow State Route 43 north to Geauga Lake. (Last time I was there was when it was Worlds of Adventure, mind you, so my navigation may be a bit fuzzy.)

EDIT: Google Maps even suggests a different route, though it goes straight through some potential highway-turned-parking-lot action.

Go out to 2 (eventually becomes 90) then hop on 271S in the hood. Signs will take you the rest of the way.

This is the way I normally take from Cedar Point to Geauga lake.

Go down the Chaussee.
Make a left onto Cleveland.
Take that down to the light, make a right and get on 2 East
Take that until it turns into 90 and stay on 90. Go by downtown and take 77S
77S to 480E
480E to 422E
Follow the signs after the OH-91 Solon exit.

Get on the Ohio turnpike going east; take it all the way to exit 187.

From exit 187, get on SR 14 going east and then get on SR 43 going north.

There will be signs along the way.

This is the way we take. It's the fastest one I know of.
