Hey everyone its me, I have been reading a lot here on the forums however I wanted to ask a lot of you What are the best roller coasters for a first time visitor to Cedar Point? In other words what are some of your favorites, which ones would you all recommend for a first time visitor and why?
That's a bit hard to answer, not knowing your tastes in the matter. Do you like wood or steel coasters? Love or hate inversions? Are you enthralled or intimidated by the thought of being 400 feet in the air?
For the record: a late afternoon ride on Blue Streak, as the sun sets over Sandusky Bay, and a night ride on Magnum, with a clear sky full of stars above and Lake Erie in front of you, are two moments of sheer perfection.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
Millennium Force is also a spectacular sunset ride, just a beautiful vista.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Try to hit up as many as possible. I enjoy all of them.

Every coaster is unique and caters to people who have different preferences. I prefer the most intense rides but Cedar Point offers tamer experiences such as Mine Ride, Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, and Blue Streak.
Maverick is my personal favorite coaster. It is an aggressive, fast paced coaster. I love the low to the ground canyon turns and the launch is one of the best I have ever been on. It is even better at night.
Speaking of launches, Top Thrill Dragster is amazing. The ride is short but if you can find it running with <45 mins wait then ride it. I personally don't think it is worth a 2 hr wait though.
Magnum is one of the best as well (and not just because I was on its crew this year). It almost never has any line and when it does it is usually <20 mins. It provides a great view of Lake Erie and the front of the park while going up the lift hill. The layout is full of ejector airtime, has 3 tunnels (watch out for Chester the resident dragon!) and is my favorite coaster without inversions.
Millennium Force is a must ride as well. It has been voted the #1 Steel Coaster in the World almost every year from the time it was built. Awesome views, great drop, breakneck speeds, some airtime, and several points where it glues you into your seat. All around a great ride. Just avoid it around dusk unless you like bugs.
Really though every coaster is great. Gatekeeper is a very smooth, very fun coaster. Mean Streak is one of the roughest but is also one of the best wooden coasters you can find. I personally prefer it over The Beast at Kings Island. Raptor is an inverted coaster that is never dull. Rougarou is the newest ride experience. It is a floorless coaster that offers some great inversions and a pretty cool tour of the lagoon. Blue Streak is a classic out and back woodie but is not overly rough. Wicked Twister is a unique launched shuttle. The list goes on and on...

What is this "Impulse Coaster" clone model you speak of? Anyway, if you like intensity, Maverick, Raptor and Magnum are probably the 3 most intense rides IMO. If you like smooth gliding, almost relaxing rides, GateKeeper, Rougarou and Gemini are the 3 bet for that. Then, pure thrills are Maverick, TTD and Millennium Force.
Well, if you start with Dragster, the rest of the day may seem dull.
Depending on when you go, lines may or may not be manageable. Common advice is to start in the back, and finish up front.
What coaster experience are you bringing to the park in beginner form?
Millennium at dusk is a must ride, but for me, nothing better than a night ride on Magnum, especially when all lights are off at Soak City.

Burritos, Inspiration Point, Fork Balloon Sports, Cards in the Spokes, Automatic Biographies, Kites, Kung Fu, Trophies, Banana Peels We've Slipped On and Egg Shells We've Tippy Toed Over
GDUBS hit the nail on the head with his descriptions. I'll also add that one of my favorites is Maverick just before sunset. And don't forget the flat rides, I'm personally not a fan of spinning rides, but I know a lot of people like them. Even the really tame rides like Sky Ride and the CPLERR are a nice change of pace.

It really isn't though. Depending on how "beginner" this visitor might be, starting with the tallest and fastest may numb the excitement felt on smaller rides. It's about the perception of relativity. When you are 5 years old, one year feels a lot longer because it is 20% of your life. When you are 50, that same one year feels much shorter as it is only 2% of your life. The same goes with height and speed of rides.
Nothing about that comment has to do with ride quality, just perception. When I was younger, I was used to Double Loop at 90ft tall. The first time I rode Magnum it was an extreme change from what I was used to. After that, Double Loop didn't feel as tall or as fast anymore.
