What is the fastest road to go to cedar point from Paramount Kings Island.

Probably I-71 North to U.S. Route 250 North (near Ashland, OH). That will take you right into Sandusky, but I'm not sure if it will be the fastest. But I would also check Yahoo!-Maps or soemthign to see if it can generate you a fast Route.

www.expedia.com is much better with directions.

Don't even consider taking IR-71 to US-250.
From PKI, consider taking IR-71 South to IR-275 West to IR-75 North to OH-12 East to US-6 East to the end of the Causeway.
Either that, or take IR-71 to the first exit North of IR-270 on the North side of Columbus, then take that road West to US-23, then US-23 North to OH-4 North into Sandusky, and follow the signs once you are past US-2.

Any particular reason for the different directions, RideMan? I was going to take 71 to 250 to get from PKI to CP. I'd like to know the difference. Your other routes seem more confusing with more turns and highways to follow. Please fill me in. :-)

I agree with Dave's second suggestion. Take 71 to the Polaris Exit (my parents live up there). Take Polaris Parkway west to 23. There will be a BP on the northeast corner. Then take 23 north. Also, if you go early enough, there is a great restaurant in Bucyrus for breakfast. Used to stop there every year when my Dad and I would go up to the point.

I-71 North to The Polaris exit (Exit 121) would hook you up on 23, which can lead you to Near Sandusky. But I suggested the 71/250 route becuase it's more interstate, rather than back roads.
23 to route 4 takes you right into Sandusky, then you just follow the signs.

You could take I-75 to the turnpike, then take the turnpike east to S.R. 250. It may not be the fastest route but at least you would be on major highway for all but a couple of miles. It would be almost exactly a four hour trip from Downtown Cinci.

From PKI, you're only a couple of miles from IR-75, and going up I-75 is really a more direct route to get to Cedar Point...Columbus is actually out of your way. On the map, the most direct route if you ignore the few miles between PKI and I-75 is to take I-75 to OH-12 to US-6. I don't know how *long* that takes, though. It cuts a nice diagonal across Northern Ohio, though.
From PKI to my house, which is only a block from I-71, is 90 minutes. From my house to Cedar Point is 130 minutes via IR-71 to Polaris to US-23 to OH-4.
The reason behind using US-23 and OH-4 instead of going I-71 to US-250 is that the combination of US-23, OH-98, and OH-4 forms a perfectly straight line from Columbus to Sandusky. Going up to US-250 adds about fifteen unnecessary miles to the trip.
Taking US-23 to OH-4 instead of going up OH-98 adds one mile to the trip, but that is probably made up for by the fact that between OH-98 and OH-4, US-23 is 65 mph while OH-98 (past the infamous River Valley High School and through Kirkpatrick) is 55 mph.

Ahh, River Valley High School. Used to play them in basketball, but that's another story.
