I will be there this Friday, August 7. The general consensus seems to be to start at the back of the park for the lowest wait times on MF and Maverick. I will NOT have early entry, but I plan to be first in line for the non-EE crowd.
So where is the best place to park to get to MF or Maverick the fastest? And as a non-EE person is it still best to go to that area first?

If you're looking to go to MF first, the closest entry is the marina, but you will have to park in the front lot and walk along the side (by blue streak) to it. For Maverick, i think the closest entrance is the soak city entrance, so you park in the back lot.
I am staying at Castaway Bay Thursday night and want to park by Gemini to go in by Soak City for early entry. Will the people at the booth give me hassel? Do I just tell them I want to park in the Gemini lot? Never done this before, we usually stay at Breakers but it was way expensive....

Unless really crowded, guests cannot park in the Gemini lot. Tell them you are going to Soak City. Better yet, just put your left turn signal on and they will let you turn left and you will be on your way to the Soak City lot.
