Best order to ride coasters

I plan on visiting Cedar Point either on 8/21 or 8/23 (park hours 10-8). At the very least, I want to ride Maverick, MF, Raptor, Mantis, and Magnum. I understand that some of these coasters have very long lines throughout the day. What is the best order to ride these in so that I have as much time as possible for other rides? What other coasters should I go on if I have time?

Thanks,

You should probably hit Maverick as your last ride, or you first ride being that it is usually an 1 hour and a half wait, so you should hit that one in the morning and MF as your last ride ( or vise versa)..Mantis you should hit either before or after MF being that it isnt usually crowded..and magnum is usually a walk-on throughout the day..depending on the crowds it might be 10- 15, maybe 30 minute wait..not a biggie

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

*First of all, looking at the hours that week, the park is only open until 8pm, so they are expecting a light crowd so you should be able to do all the biggies

My Suggestion for you is to do this:
1. Park in the Soak City Lot so you are at a good point to ride...
2. TTD-the only biggie (MF, Maverick, Raptor, TTD aka the 2+ hour wait club) that is not a early entry ride
3. Ride Wildcat
4. Ride Iron Dragon
5. Ride Mantis
6. Ride MF if the wait is less then 1.5 hours, if not wait till later
7. Take the Train to ride Mean Streak
8. Ride CCMR
9. Ride Skyhawk (if you want)
10. At this point, the crowds would have finally caught up with you so its time to suck it up and wait for Maverick
11. Ride Gemini
12. Ride Woodstalk/Jr. Gemini if youre a credit whore
13. Ride Magnum
14. Ride Corkscrew
15. Ride WT
16. Ride DT, but if the line is long and you are running out of time skip it
17. Ride Maxair
18. Ride Raptor
19. Ride Blue Streak
20 Ride MF if you havent done so yet or if you have pick a ride to ride again before you leave.

This has been asked a billion times.

Let's Get Weird.

I would ride the MAVERICK 1st because the Line would be one of the longest during all day. Then the MF coming from the Train. Then the WT to the Raptor. I then would ride the Magnum for a little wait. The Last Coaster would be the Dragster because it is the longest wait of the park. Those are my best coasters.
I will ride all the other coasters if they are not long waits.

The Thrill Rides
#1 POWER TOWER #2 SKYHAWK #3 maXair #4 DEMON DROP.

Those are my Best Rides I Ride everytime I go to the Park.

What is the park's policy regarding closing time? For example, if there is an hour line for Maverick and I get in line 5 minutes before closing, what happens?

Thanks,

If you get in line for any ride that is open before the park closes, you will ride that ride baring any mechanical faliure or weather.

^^ - wow. Even the New York Post doesn't have as many unnecessary articles. ;)

Touchdown seems to have a good route that won't have you running all over the park and doing lots of unnecessary walking. I hope you have fun on your trip.

They are very good about letting people in up until park closing. At that point, anyone in the line is allowed to ride, so long as the ride does not go down due to mechanical or weather reasoning.

If you are staying at a Cedar Point resort or have Joe Cool Club memebership and can get into the park early....

1. Park by Soak City and go to the Magnum entrance. Get their EARLY.
2. RUN to Maverick.
3. Go to MF.
4. head over to TTD and you should be their right around when it opens at 10. Get off TTD at 10:30..and have the 3 biggest rides out of the way done in under an hour and 1/2. :)
5. While everyone else is on the bigger rides head to Mantis.
6. Then Mean Streak.
7. Then Magnum.

So Raptor is the only ride you really have to wait in line long for. Try going their in the afternoon when the line is around 30-45mins. If you can go on the sky-ride and look to see how many switch backs they have open. A lot of times they say it's an hour wait but they don't have the switch backs open (in the afternoon) and it's only about a 30 min wait, including the wait for the front seat.

Do not go to Maverick first if you are not a JC/Resort Guest, it will have a nearly full queue at normal opening, you are much better off hitting TTD, which is not open during the ERT in the morning then going off to Maverick to find a 1+ hour wait, when a full queue is only 1.75 hour wait.

Just go with the flow. I do that often and I usually luck out and get in line at the right time. Although, the key word is "usually".

Ride Iron Dragon before TTD (unless you do TTD as your first ride of the day). It is a great ride to check the TTD line. I was on it at around 6:30pm on our last trip and noticed a short line. It can be hard to tell how long that line is without getting in it. I wouldn't recommend TTD at the end of the day because it could break down. Magnum is fun at night. Also, ride Blue Streak to check the line for Raptor (Blue Streak is actually still a pretty good ride). Just be sure to enjoy yourself and not go on a coaster blitz (unless that is your goal). Also listen to what other people say about broken down rides. If you hear that a big ride is down and you get to it when it reopens, you will probably have a much shorter wait. This is especially true for TTD after a ~45 minute breakdown. I waited 2 hours to ride TTD becuase of a long breakdown, then got off and back into line and I got back on in 25 minutes!
