Has anyone ever stayed at the Best Budget Inn on Milan Rd? This was the cheapest place we could stay at for Memorial Day weekend. All we need it for is a clean bed and bathroom for two nights, nothing fancy.
Any opinions on it?

I did a search on travelocity and the hotel was rated by people
who stayed there. The comments were- smells, filthy, bugs,
dirty, no towels, running toilet all night, no clock, no shampoo,
dirty pool stained carpet. From that information,i would cancel
that reservation and stay at the breakers express or hampton
inn.
Personally, I think that for the money, nothing beats the Maples Motel. We stayed there for Coastermania last year, and are returning this year as well. The rooms are clean, and the management staff couldn't be friendlier.

I was planning on booking Breakers Express. The day I got it approved to take off work, I went home and the prices went up overnight from $70 a night to $95 a night. Since I make $11 an hour supporting my fiance through college and getting married in a little over a month, I'm not rich lol.
I hate to spend over $100 a night after taxes when its not even peak season. The past years we've gone we've stayed at the Holidome and the Ramada with the steakhouse and those turned out fine. So I'm hoping for the best with this one. I just need a clean bed and bathroom and we're happy.
I just can't afford to be paying Disney World hotel prices right now :(

lol, carpy, from steelvenoms post, it sounds like you won't even get that. I couldn't back up the truthfullness of travelocity, as i've never stayed at this place, but its probably accurate.
Yea. I really have no idea but I'm hoping it'll be fine. We booked it on expedia. They only had one review on it and it was a good one but we didnt really go by that anyway, we were going for it because of the price more than anything. So I guess we'll get what we pay for.

We stayed at BBI Milan rd. for 8 days last year. It´s bad, but not VERY bad. I remember dirty carpets on the floor, and I encountered ONE cockroach during our stay. The bathroom was clean and so were the beds. I think it´s o.k. as long as you´re only staying for a couple of days. Next time we go (it will probably be 7-8 days again), we will stay somewhere better (maybe Lighthouse Point). Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Carpy, the place is horrible from what I've heard. If you want a decent place, I've heard some good things about the Microtel Inn and Suites. It's biggest drawback is being close to railroad tracks, but the rooms are supposed to be clean and nice. Here is the address:
Microtel Inn and Suites
601 RYE BEACH RD
Huron, OH 44839
It's about 5 miles to CP, right at the Rye Beach Rd. exit off Rt. 2.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Comfort inn or comfort suites (suites is a new hotel) I have a reservation there on May 24th and it is only $60 a night!!
Cedar Point - An adventure waiting for everyone.
I've stayed at the Microtel that Pete mentioned and it is a great hotel for a pretty cheap price. I'd definately suggest it.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
BBI used to be my choice of places to stay till my hubby and I found the Motel 6 down the road on 250. Farther drive to and from the Po!nt but way clean, way nice staff and reasonably priced!
I'm trying to talk my hubby into the small motel farther down 250 that advertises a heart shaped tub! ;)
Of course nothing can ever top our honeymoon stay at Hotel Breakers. The memories we will cherish forever! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Agreed Jo. I recently stayed at that Motel 6 and for the price I was not too sure of it at first... but it was VERY nice.
Whew. I'm feeling alot better than I was about BBI now. Its only for two days so I'm hoping it'll be decent.

Comfort Suites is very nice for $60 a night. The rooms are very nice (standard with an added couch, microwave, and minifridge). They a deluxe continental breakfast (better than most I've seen) and they have a free shuttle going back and forth to the park every hour starting at 9:00am.
It's either this hotel or a CP resort if I ever decide to stay over night.

My brother used to stay at that place when he was younger, and boy the stories that he would tell. I was surprised to see it gone this year as well. Drove by, saw the sign and was going to point it out to my girlfriend, but all it is, is just a concrete/dust/dirt square. :(
the first monday the park was opened, my gf and I stayed in the old part of the breakers. It was nice, you could tell its old, but still very nice. I liked the way the room was set up and everything. Crappy view, but oh well.
We had a huge hassle with the reservations once we got there, but the staff helped us out and were very friendly. When we got there, the desk staff asked for our ID's im 21, shes 19. (they said she couldnt stay becasue she wasnt 21). Well I spoke up and told the lady that, no where did it say that she had to be 21. I knew I had to, to make the resverv's, but not her. So anyway they let us stay but told us they would let security know, well no security never came a knockin, so oh well on that.
Another hassle was the discount coupon we were going to use. We found a 50 dollars of coupon on the website (no expiration date mind you). We went to go print it off and it was GONE :(. So I called Breakers and let them know and we went back and forth, and finally the guy said he would put a note on there for them to take it off. Long story short, we get there and they never got the note, but gave us the discount, plus a little more. So overall everything worked out, but just a few bumps in the road.
Overall-- Good stay, really enjoyed the room we got, if you want to see pictures of the room let me know.
Thanks and I hoped you enjoyed....
