Benefits of a woodie

Would it be at all possible to get a CCI that could break some records, as well as be on the smoother side? i'm actually hoping for another woodie so I certainly hope so! Thanks:)

Possible? Yes...probable from what we've heard lately? No.

It could be the most tunneled and have the steepest drop...

And the most inversions (owch!), but here would it go? It could partially be on Millenium Island and go back around Frontier Trail parallel to MF's lift & drop since I can't remember much around that area besides 6 shops, but I better leave it to the people who go there 60 times a year to correct that.

Yeah, here I go.  I think if CP got a wood coaster that it would be a small to medium sized enjoyable ride (very smooth).  Also, it would most likely go to the rumored site (near DT).

I would hope it would a woodie like Viper at six flags great america. Medium sized cyclone coaster that packs a big punch.

Pros of wood:

1. Cheaper installation costs
2. Good cost/benefit ratio
3. Bolsters weak wood line-up
4. Capable of good capacity
5. Not as intimidating, can spread crowds well.

Cons of wood:

1. less than stellar maintanence rep (see Mean Streak)
2. higher maintanence costs
3. CP won't be able to resist evil brick-like urethane foam and high seatbacks (see Mean Streak, 1995 castration of Blue Streak)
4. Unless record-breaker, will be poo-pahed by many fans

You forgot the biggest con of a woddie unless done "Villian" style.. large footprint.. real-estate costs $$ people..
