Beach Party?

Has anyone posted a review of the weekend Beach Party? I was just wondering if it was worth staying late for, it's a long drive that late at night but it seems like fun. I couldn't find any threads about it on here.

Thanks!

wasn't good

we went a couple weeks ago. The $1 meal deal for platinum pass was a nice perk. Grilled hotdog, bag of chips, bottle of pop. I think it's $4 for non pass holders.

The food is available in a cart right outside the gate by Windseeker. the party is on the beach by windseeker.

My kids (age 3 and 7) had a great time. The park had free cornhole games and limbo. The live band was fun and CP sets up numerous fire pits on the beach with chairs to sit around them. CP staff kept the fire going by adding logs when needed and stoking the fire.

The chairs went quick so if you plan on sitting you may need to get there a little early. Otherwise you can sit on the sand.

The fireworks were nice but not a huge display like on the 4th of July.

I wouldn't say it's worth staying for if it makes your drive home too late, but if you live fairly close by or are staying on point; it's a fun way to cap off the evening.

Yes, it is very nice. But like what was said above, if it's a far drive home for you, I wouldn't risk staying that late. The band was nice as well as cornhole, water balloon toss, and the mini display of fireworks. Not to mention the beautiful view of Windseeker and WT :) Anyway, I feel like Beach Bash is dedicated more to overnight guests since it is so late in the day.

I'm intrigued by the $4 meal combo. Is it only available after 9pm though?

The Beach Blast is a very pleasant addition to summer nights at the park. While it is open to all guests the event does have a resort kind of vibe, which is a good thing. It almost reminds me of the movie nights and other resort events at Disney.

In any case, I definitely appreciate the park branching out and providing new offerings and entertainment, particularly for resort guests.

Thank you for all of the details everyone! I think my 7 year old will love it as he loves the beach and enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the beach at Disney earlier this summer.

We have friends coming with us this weekend so hopefully we can all last long enough to enjoy the party :)

I've been to 4 of them and although a few were a bit cold and one was wet, it is a very nice touch. Finally someone decided to use the beach! At night its a very cool view of the park with the light from Windseeker, WT, etc. The $1 hot dog, chips and drink is a great touch. Live band was ok - added a nice atmosphere. Games on the beach. Fireplaces. Fireworks at 11. (be advised GK closes around 10:50 and doesn't open back u until 11:15 due to fireworks)

I don't see how someone can say it wasn't good. If you haven't been go as this weekend its the last one. Unfortunately I cant make it :(

Just got home from the beach party and had a nice relaxing time. I think it's a great idea, especially for resort guests. We took advantage of the awesome $1 combo meal, and my son loved building sand castles on the beach while I warmed up by the fire and enjoyed the music. I laid down for a few minutes and just took it all in... this was my last day of summer break so I was reflecting back on all the fun we had this summer (a lot of it at CP) and being on the beach tonight was a great way to say goodbye to summer!

After resting for some time at Breakers, I was all set to do some more coasters, but found the atmosphere at Beach Blast so inviting and fun I just stayed there for a good hour and a half. It's excellent for resort guests and appeals to all ages. After several hours of walking around all day, it's a real treat to have events like this to meet some people and just take in the views. Hopefully this will remain an annual thing. Also, nobody mentioned the beer vendors. :)

I hope it returns next year too. Maybe have the party be a little longer and available later? Maybe a Tiki bar selling cocktails and mixed drinks, as well as dancing.

I haven't mentioned anything about the beer vendors because they don't sell Miller Lite (at least the two times I went to Beach Blast). I'm not an import beer drinker and I absolutely hate Bud Lite. Coors is the only domestic beer I'll settle for over Miller (and it's still not as good). It's kind of disappointing that TGIFridays and Famous Dave's are the only places in the park that I can find Miller Lite.

I would love if they sold drinks outside, that would be neat. Logistically though it is hard, I've traveled with my bar before to outdoor venues away from sinks/ice machines/etc. and it does present a challenge, but it can be done.

I did enjoy the party, good music and it's nice to see them use the beach as a venue, I can't believe it's taken this long to do something like this. My only gripe was using the same setup (music and all) from KI for the fireworks, that was pretty lame.

^Go try stuff from Great Lakes, you'll drop Miller quick :P or at least hopefully..I hate pouring Miller into a nice glass...it's not worthy :P

When I'm stuck in Cleveland Airport a lot and all there is is Great Lakes to drink, it gets old. Not to mention it really isn't that good to begin with IMO. However, I can get down with some Christmas Ale once in a while.

I'll take a Dortmunder gold lager or Wright Pils over Miller's Pale Lager anyday. I can see it getting old quick as it's a limited selection, but at least it's a quality craft beer.

It seriously isn't worthy though..Why get a nice pint or Pilsner glass for a Miller, piss is still piss.
