Since, this is my first post on this site I want to introduce myself. I am 36, and probably an old man to some of you. I have been coming to this site for years now to get info on my childhood park, and for the most part most of it is quite usefull and the discussions are quite entertaining to say the least. I grew up in the Toledo area and went to Cedar Point contanly when I was younger, I guess so the Point was considered my home park then. Got a good job as a machinist for L-3 Communications and moved near Valencia, California so Majic Mountain became my home park. Since then I have moved all over the country and have visited alot of Amusement parks but, Cedar Point was always my favorite. While I was away alot I always made it back to the point at least once a year usually for Halloweekends. Now, me and the wife currently live in Muskegon, Michigan and Michigan's Adventure is my home park now. The Wife and I went to Cedar Point openeing weekend and it was like I never left. But anyways I am rambling on about myself, just thought i'd say hi to ya all..

Welcome, youngster! :)
We tend to be pretty friendly around here, but then, you already know that because you've been hanging out here. Lurking is OK, and I am sure Jeff appreciates the traffic, but a community is all about participation, so come on in and join in the conversation!

Thanks for the welcome!
As far as my thoughts on Magic Mountain compared to Cedar Point. Cedar Point has ethe best collection of rides for any park I have ever been to. But Magic Mountain has some better rides like Riddlers Revenge and Tatsu. Didn't get a chance to ride terminator, but Psyclone and Mean Streak had alot in common, bot being unridable. The ambience of both parks is about the same. They also have the lack of trees in common, eventhough Magic Mountain is in the desert.

The two guys running this dump are 36, and I don't think we consider ourselves old men.

Psyclone and Mean Streak are both unrideable, but for completely different reasons: Psyclone has been demolished. Good thing, too, because otherwise it would have beat out the Great America Grizzly for the title of "Worst Wood Coaster I Have Ever Ridden".
Actually, Mean Streak is not nearly as bad as the P-Clone was.

You are right P-Clone was alot worse then Mean Streak ever was, I only rode it once, and I went to Magic Mountain every couple of weeks. When I look at Mean Streak it just looks awesome, too bad it doesn't ride as awesome as it looks. I will always remember Mean Streak from them first couple of seasons when it was sort of awesome. Where is Great American Grizzly at?
