I deal with the public on a daily basis. As a result of this, I have deleloped a "personality callous". Most of the public think they are right all the time, they could NEVER be wrong, and you're a peon who's supposed to kiss their a**. Well, it dosen't work that way. If I'm in a store, I go out of my way to be nice to the sales help, cashiers, ect. I know very well what they have to deal with. Last year at CP, if I saw a guy with a tie, I made a point to tell him how much I enjoyed the park. They broke out into a big smile. The same with the ride ops. I would sympathize with them on how they have to deal with idiots all day and what a great time I'm having and what a good job their doing. Some were so happy to hear something nice that they would get into a conversation with me just because it wasen't someone yelling at them. Ride ops are doing their best and can't help it if something goes wrong or gives you an answer you don't want to hear. People that serve the public are not required to kiss anyone's a** or take abuse from an ingrate who does not deserve to breathe air. My compliments to all the CP staff and workers- you folks help make a bad day good and a good day great!
