Be Careful while e-Baying

I just wanted to send a heads up to everyone who buys Cedar Point merchandise on eBay. Lately there have been some problems with an individual on eBay that sells a lot of Cedar Point merchandise. He has provided less than satisfactory service to me and at least 3 or 4 other people.

So, here's my warning. Be sure to check the comments (not just the number) in feedback when bidding on Cedar Point merchandise (or any merchandise) on eBay. The particular individual in question has a positive looking feedback rating, until you look at the recent comments, so please, do yourself a favor and don't be taken.

Yeah, it's happening to you too. Be prepared to fight for your item or money. He claimed to me that he was out of town and that my item "would get out to me." 24 days after I sent payment, still waiting.

I am going to be trying to maketelephone contact with the "seller" on Monday. I'd encourage everyone else to do the same. That way you can honestly say you did everything you could to set things right.

I am waiting on $65 worth of lapel pins from this guy. For those of you out there who collect via eBay, for future reference, look at european-cstr-bounds id history and you will see that he has a habit of changing his user name quite often. He could easily change it again, and rip us off of more $$ so check the sellers rating and history before you send payment.

What makes this so unfortunate is that I have bought things from him before with no problem.

Perhaps we can get a hold of one of those investigative reporters?

Michael Darling: If you have his phone number, please email me
I paid him for an employee coat over a year ago for my collection and he never gave it to me. Funny sparty, dan and myself were all talking about this recently.

[name removed... I don't doubt the actions of the seller, but I can't take the responsibility here for anyone posting his name. take it up with eBay and your local courts, please. -J]

He was an employee. I have heard he may possibly work there this year.

How interesting. I bought 2 items from this seller in March and received my items in about 1 week.

Lately I haven't been checking the seller's feedback comments. Thanks for the warning.

Tell them for starters that the law only allows you to be responsible for $50.

Vince- I do have his telephone number, but it's against eBay's policy to give it to you. (I don't want to be a bad eBayer) If you go to the help section on eBay it'll tell you how to get a person's contact information.

I'd rather do everything by the book. Sorry... :(

I do really think we all need to take some action against this guy. It's evident that there are a whole heck of a lot more people he ripped off than I though. Send me some e-mail folks-- so we can get our (collective) acts together. :)
