Hey gang, I may have misunderstood the promo video, and even after riding, I am not sure. Are BOTH Of Millennium Force's banked turn at 122 degrees. I knew the first one was after the 300 foot drop (that banked turn is my fav part of the ride)..but is the other banked turn near the queue line 122 degree as well..??
Thanks.
Mikey :)
Actually, I think all three overbanks are at 122.

I thought Jeff had said a while back that all three were somewhat different, but marketing had missed that fact.
The first turn and the second island turn are 122, the last turn is a little less. The first island turn is pretty darn close to 90. The turn into first tunnel is I think 70.

mikey
cheeseburger, clear this up for everyone
Straight from the press kit....Two 122-degree and one 112-degree overbanked turns.
The final turn is the one banked at 112 degrees.
hope that helps
Those are the published numbers. Bill Buckley posted to rec.roller-coaster last Spring three completely different numbers that allegedly came from Stengel himself, where 122 degrees was the smallest of the three. I don't remember what he said they were, though, and with DejaNews off the air, it's kind of hard to check.
I suppose the best way to find out might be to visit the park when there are Science Day activities going on and take a sighting across the rails...
Just remember to add 90 degrees to the measurement!

I remember hearing 126, 90, 122, and 118.
