Bad Dreams

Just curious if anyone else has dreams (Good or Bad) about rides and events at the point... Must be the long offseason getting to me, but I had a very vivid dream last night about the chairs from Skyhawk flying off at the highest arc point of it's swing. They then landed in the lake... with people in them. I found it very unsettling.

I've had both good and bad dreams in which Cedar Point made an appearance. I welcome both.

The one that bothered me the most was MF going up the lift hill as fast as it goes down the first drop. We/they end up in Lake Erie, sometimes dead, sometimes live. Dreams are weird.

Yeah I had a dream where I was on Millennium going up, but then fell off into Lake Erie.

I had a dream that I fell out of Mantis in the middle of the loop.

Two that I can remember: The first one I was riding raptor and my harness popped open flinging me out of the train. I grabbed onto one of the overhead steel sections and I drop. I get up,dust myself off and walk away.

The other was before Dragster opened they didn't have the track done but they were letting peopel ride anyway. Instead of being at the point it was in the middle of this field and there was a fence behind the tower. The thing is the people on the train had to steer it onto a section of track in order for it to complete the circuit well my train didn't and we flung over the fence and fell out of the train. Funny thing is noone was hurt.

For some reason when I dream about TTD it never goes right. Sometimes there won't be an end or it will be too short and never make it over the hill.

I always seem to get lost in CP in my dreams. I always start out walking towards Dragster but I ALWAYS end up lost in a small patch of forest, right where Macaroni's is with a large wall surrounding the entire area.

I also had one where CP's was much larger and allot of the coasters were gone, being dismantled, or were changed. Raptor was gone, and they were building a new one with the same colors, and name (but the dinosaur "raptor") and it was a floorless. Dragster was being torn down (but it was still running) but a 600ft (or something) version was being built right next to it that had a layout similar to Xcelerator. Millennium was changed and resembled Expedition G Force. Mantis looked like Flashback from SFMM and was moved towards Wicked Twister. Disaster Transport was gone, and a wooden coaster one was in its place. Iron Dragon, Magnum, Wildcat, Mean Streak, Gemini (and Jr), Woodstock Express, Blue Streak, Corkscrew, and CCMR were all gone.

And worse yet, SIX FLAGS OWNED IT!!!! <:O
It wasn't a dream, it was a nightmare!!:)

I had a dream once where I was riding a 10 speed mountain bike around the park, and I made my friends watch it while I went on rides.

What a jerk I am in my dreams. :D

I had a really wierd dream once the year that TTD opened. I was waiting in line for WT with some friends, but the line and station were in an office building!? And then I remember like walking over to the Dragster area, but instead of the sleek Intamin monster there was like a 50 ft. tall coaster with trains shaped like the S&S air launched coasters that were like 10 times their real size. Talk about freaky.

I have some weird dreams. In one we were in the park and staying in cabins in the middle of the park, and I was walking around the park. I saw a baseball diamond for some reason and I was looking for a bathroom and someone pointed me in the right direction and I ended up on a cruiseship with a bunch of old people in the casino. Weeeeeeiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrdddd!

I think the worst are work-related dreams. I've been known to wake up in the middle of the night with my arm at a 90 degree clear off the side of the bed.

My boyfriend used to knock on the walls like he did on the control booth plexiglass (to signal to lock lapbars) when he worked on Magnum. He also used to get really pissy when his crew was about to set-up in his dream. He'd wake me up with all his yelling- "We HAVE to send this train NOW."

Crazy what working 70+ hours a week will do to ya, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it :).

Uh oh, I think Matt's secret is out of the bag. ;) hehehehe

I'm fairly certain that any ride op, past or present, has been guilty of clearing in their sleep. My first summer, working on Wicked Twister, it was pretty much a nightly occurance.

My alarm clock was right at the foot of my bed, and I'd sit straight up, slap the snooze button, high-clear, and lay back down again.. :)

How about working wicked twister this fall and i held my high clear until the train cycled and parked. Dragster moment ohh load 2 i must have been dreaming

I sure did have a dream at 6:45 in the morning. I was clearing trains from my dorm room bed.. then i realized that i had to be at the ride at 7.... yup that's the typical morning for me..

I have lots of CP dreams.

What usually happens is I'm anticipating going on some particular ride, and either get totally lost looking for it or wake up just as I'm getting in the ride.

I have had other dreams though where I dream of bad things happening, falling out of rides, rides being closed, etc.

i don't clear in my sleep (or not that i know of), but i do spiel to myself sometimes when my mind wanders while walking to class...

...i've gotten many weird looks, believe me.

I was in the front seat of TTD ready to launch and my mom wakes me up. :(
