I read about a park in Cali. I beleive thats where... But anyways during their Hallo-time the train is turned around and ran backwards. That would be awesome on the force Eh?? Improbable not Impossible.

Any Thoughts??

I don't think that would ever happen since it would require a lot of work to make the elevator lift system hook on to the back of the train.

not really, whatever bracket it connects to under the "front" car could be made to connect to a special "back" car....then to turn the cars around, just swap the modified rear car for the regular rear car and you should be ready to go, although something would probably also need to be done about the anti-rollbacks....it would be fun to ride, especially at night, but I don't think it will happen due to the train modifications necessary to make it work...

Isn't the brake only on one side when you come into the final run? This could be an issue... Oh, and the coaster in question is Collossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

But then again, what do I know?

I don't know if ridding MF backward would be very fun? I thkn that there would be to many un-expected G's so it would be uncomertable to ride.

If it were to go backwards the first drop wouldn't be very fun.

Opening Day - May 8, 2004 :) 8 more days people!!

Cedar Point, Absolutly Amazing!!

I don't think I'd really appreciate going 92mph backwards where I couldn't see where I was going... it's fun to me now b/c you can see what's coming up next... Twister is awesome because you know what to expect (for the most part) so you can half brace yourself...

In short, I'd probably not ride it... They'd also have to devise a head restraint perhaps a halo-ish type of device they built for Nascar...

Although everyone would like to ride the big coasters backwards (TTD, Millennium) I think it would be much more probable to turn DT around, or maybe blue streak (even though I wouldnt like that)....

Thanks for the info on what coaster is turned around!! Personaly I think It would be awesome. The braking system would not be a problem. The antisipation of going down Millies first hill with your brain working overtime, thousands of cell working in unison pleading for the intamite knowledge of just when is the pullout!! Sorry I was gettin excited there!

Holy crap...I never thought about doing it to Disaster Transport. There has been talks here about the possibilities of doing to to Gemini, but I think they would have to do some major changes to the cars because the chain dogs on the tracks aren't mirrored.

That would probably be the one relatively simple thing they could do to DT that would spruce it up a bit. It's not too intense with the G's, and it would really add a fun new element to the ride. I know it's dark in there, but you can still see where you are doing most of the time. Turning the cars around makes the ride sound much more appealing.

Will Foamy become the next Strong Bad? I guess we will find out...

Caution: Foamy isn't quite as "PC" as Strong Bad.

That could be a good idea. Or an idea out of desperation...

Someone better explain what's going on here...or...there will be a lot of explaining to do!

I think it is a good idea, and with the way things have been going over at Dispatch Master Transport, I think it would be a wise marketing decision...I can hear it now... "You thought your flight to Alaska was out of control before, just wait till you fly there backwards!"

The way they do it for the wooden coasters that have been turned around is that they take the shell of the car off the frame of the car and reverse the shell. The frame that connects to the track is still running forwards, just the seats are facing a different direction. By doing it this way, the lift and braking system wouldnt need to change.
They should turn trains on ms around and maybe people would ride it. SFOG has turned the train around on the scream machine and it was a good ride backwards
I've been on two backwards coasters. The Racer at PKI and Rebel Yell at PKD. I really didn't like them at all. I'm getting woozy remembering those rides, yuck.
