Awsome New Drasgter Video!

i do have quick time on my computer. i cant play the pov of ttd on the cedarpoint website also, i hate it so much.
I'm quite fond of the second video myself ;)

I only wish the second video showed the reaction of some of those riders during the launch or at the end of the ride.

Getting a launch reaction on video would be almost impossible. The train takes off so quickly, that it'd be off frame almost instantly. (and incredibly difficult to follow).

There are some pretty tight shots of the train coming down and hitting the brakes, in the second one you can see the girls in the front freaking.

I'm surpised they played that song in that video. Do you think Metallica gave them the right to play it, or they just did regardless... (I'm guessing they wouldn't have done that.)

I can guarantee you 100% that they "just used it" - lots of people making coaster videos do this. While technically illegal without permission/paying usage fees, the odds of a band taking legal action over a small coaster video being distributed on the net is next to none. I prefer not to go this route - I do all the music in the coasterimage videos myself. To each their own and as a musician myself, I like to respect the rights of the artists.

Glad you guys enjoyed the video.

Great video, but I think I may like all of Walt's better (gotta like the sounds this beast makes).

Anyway, not to quote the above post, but Metallica was the most anal band back in the Napster days. There were several lawsuits etc because Metallica wasn't getting their well deserved record sales because of Napster. I think at one point the Napster people complied and you couldn't search for Metallica on their service anymore. So, the odds here aren't next to none, in this band's case.

What IS the air-speed velocity of an African swallow?

I can see it now - Metallica sues roller coaster website. Heh! :)

Yeah, Walt's video was really good too!

For the record, I do have that little clip at the end of the launch cable (and subsequent noise)

I do like the second video but, I have to say the first one that I posted I think is better. I also do like Walt's.
Metallica-Fuel eh`? Gee...Thats the same song I used in my TTD video. I haven't posted it on the internet yet, but a few other GTTPers have a copy on cd. When I get a chance I'll post it. All of my footage and pictures are from opening day though, so no countdown lights. I'm going to check out that other video now. LoL.

Cedar Point, The Roller Coast!!
Glad you guys like my work! :) I did the 1st one... But yeah I hadto edit the music a bit, I basicly just chopped off the 1st set of lines since like people mentioned, they say f***. But I think the 2nd half of the song went better with it anyway. My only regrets with the video were not getting enough angles and having half of the segments usign the tireless trains. Neither could be helped, since my 1st visit was on a very cloudy day (its a cardinal sin to film on cloudy days, y'know) and by my 2nd trip 3 days later, they had removed the tires on the trains. The ride was also experiencing heavy down time both of the days, so it was difficult to ride it and film as well...
Just watched the second vid, but I like the first one better. That one has the night time operation of TTD. BTW, where was that site with the six minute vid of TTD (it showed the little Cedar Point sign on the causeway)?
