I am the same way, and I hate it. When I was a kid I could ride anything all day, no problem. Then in my late teens I developed the same thing, and now more than two spinning rides (which are my favorite kind) will make my ill. Maybe it just has to do with getting older (even though I'm only 22, ha). On my trip to GL over the summer I tried dramamine. It was the less-drowsy version, but even then it knocked me out. I still got sick, but I don't know if it was from the rides, the incredible heat, or all the sugar I was consuming. Anyway a few hours after taking the dramamine, I could barely keep myself awake, and slept for several hours as soon as I got back to the hotel. Plus, I was completely groggy and out of it all throughout the next day. If you are driving, you should probably find out how it will effect you first before you take it.
Yeah, Cassie - I'm only 26, and its frustrating to be so limited in what I can enjoy at CP. I'm gonna try dramamine, and hope for the best. My biggest fear is ruining my entire day with the first test of its effectiveness, though the potential reward of success is simply too enticing to pass up.
I wonder what changes in the body that causes this to happen to some of us?

Well, thanks to all for the tips! I'm headed to the point this weekend, and am planning on trying dramamine to see if I can handle some flats.
For those that frequent flat rides: I'd like to know a "ranking" of rides at the Point in terms of their tendency to cause nausea. Which are the worst and which are the easiest?
Brandon
Personally, I put rides like Scrambler, Troika and Monster towards the top of that list, and Himalaya, maXair, Chaos, WW towards the bottom. *** Edited 10/26/2005 5:30:30 PM UTC by JuggaLotus***
Goodbye MrScott

The older flats tend to cause more nausea. The newer ones were probably thought with people like in their minds.
October 13 - Finally!
Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15
See, to me, the two worst rides are Chaos and Witches Wheel. I've never even been on Chaos at Cedar Point. I rode it at Indiana Beach and was sick for an hour. Monster and Scrambler make me a bit woozy, but I can usually tolerate one ride.
Ha! So, I suppose asking people which rides are the "bad" ones might not help much.
Drats... Do they hand out barf bags at guest relations? Or would that be a first aid thing? ;)
Brandon
On Saturday I decided to try out some spinny flats at the end of the night to see if I could handle them. I rode Monster with no problem and Troika as well. No sickness at all. We were going to go on Chaos but it broke down so Troika was the replacement.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I'd say Chaos is the worst ride. I'd also say the Tilt a Whirl, while I've never been on the CP installation, makes me sick just watching it.
The Balloon Race can make you pretty sick too, but you have control of that.
I think the Monster is fine as long as it doesn't go extra long. It can be actually fun.
Troika I could ride all day long, and I can't handle spin and pukes. I love Troika.
I love Chaos, and ride it almost on every one of my trips. I will never ride the Tilt a Whirl again though.
Thrills Around the Corner!
Tilt a Whirl is one of my favourite carnival rides ever, providing I'm in one of them spinny cars.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I wish my friend had that medicine (Dramamine) last time I went to CP. He got off MaxAir and pucked all over a trash can (afterwards making the comment of lets go again ;) lol). He was fine afterwards though.

As of October 30, 2005, I have rode EVERY thrill ride at cedar point! Begining with the Raptor and ending with the Demon Drop.
