Avalanche Run RCT3 Recreation

I love Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and 3, and play both, so I had decided to make a recreation of Avalanche Run. So, here is the link of the YouTube video. Tell me how I did!

I will later enclose it in a building, call it Disaster Transport, and add Wicked Twister, maXair, and Giant Wheel around it!

Wait about 5 years to turn it into DT. That would
make this the most realistic thing ever. Great job!

Looks great. If you add the building, make sure to add the hundreds of seagull nests on top for a realistic theme ;)

Good job! I'm a Huge RCT fan myself! Is the comment about sand blowing on the track really the reason they decided to cover the ride? can anyone confirm this in anyway? I never understood the decision to make it an indoor coaster. This would make sense to me though.

^ That is just what I found on a couple different sites on Google. It does seem logical...

Thanks for all the comments! They mean a lot. I'm starting the enclosing process now.

There are 2 reasons:

One being sand blew on the track and the ride. The second being the ride could not run in any precipitation nor could it run for a while until the track was dry.

I find it odd that it isn't possible to ride Disaster Transport in the rain. I have heard 2 reasons but I only know if one of them is true: There are not enough lightning rods and there are leaks in the building.

You forgot about Mrs. K being annoyed by the loud noise just outside her house. ;)

Let's Get Weird.

I really liked this! Nice job!

Actually, I've heard from a former CF board member that neither of those reasons (of closing it up) are true at all.

To paraphrase, DK was new in his job, and wanted to really make a statement in the industry. All the good ol' boys took a long field trip to Disney to look at Space Mountain, and DK wanted something like that at CP. The theming was tossed in, and the rest is history.

Well, he certainly made a statement.

I could be wrong, but I believe there was an interview not so long ago with DK where he actually expressed regret at doing what he did to what was then Avalanche Run.

But if you think about how it turned out, it makes perfect since that after that debacle, he adopted a view of "little-to-no-theming is best". As if he personally vowed never to make such a mistake again.

Given Kinzel's lack of foresight (in certain matters, at least), it makes sense that his failure to maintain DT led him to avoid heavily-themed rides afterward.

That's sort of like saying I never learned to read, so instead of trying to learn now, I'm just going to watch TV.

It seems like less of a "mistake" and a lot more like willful incompetence.

I found it odd that the print ad for the ride (contained at the end of the video) specifically went after Disney, saying that they had nothing like it. If the above story is true about CP wanting to ape Space Mountain, it certainly adds an interesting layer of irony.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

I think it's a fair statement to say that no other park in the universe has an attraction quite like Disaster Transport. ;)
