August at the Point?

When do the local Sanduskey and nearby residents usually start school? We are planning to to to CP the first week of August on a Tuesday or Thursday, and if the kids are already in school, that would be great! What should the crouds be like?

In Ohio, Most Schools don't Go back till late August. I am not sure about Sandusky (especially those Blue Streaks), but they don't really matter since that is not CP's main area of draw. Unfortunately for you, August is still a busy month, and attendance really doesn't drop off until the latter half of the month. I would except a typical 45-60 minute waits for Raptor, Magnum, Mean Streak, and Mantis, 1 1/2 -2 hours for the Force, 15 minutes for the others, and of course zero for Gemini. THis is all speculation of course and there are many variable's.

The Millennium Force Makes Me High

Crowds are always heaviest in August, but going in the middle of the week like that should help give you a break. Definately be prepared for lots of traffic and longer lines, but have a good time!

No doubt about that. Every person from the GP that hasn't gotten to the point try to all get there before the kids have to go back to school.

2 days most definitely. I have done every coaster in one day this year and it can easily be done, if you run the forty in 4 seconds flat. Also there is that nasty 4 letter word RAIN. I know it dose not rain much in so-cal, but it does here. Some day's are a total wash out.

In my experience, the beginning of Augest is the busiest time of the year, especially Saturdays, I would really recommend going in June if you can, that is when it is still tolerable
