Just a little tid-bit. 1993, the year of Snake River Falls, Cedar Point set there attendance record at 3.6million. I learned this at Screamscape.com and I noticed that this year islands of Adventure in Orlando had an attendance of 3.4mil now I was wondering. Have they divided IOA's attendance to compare it with seasonal parks or is Cedar Point really kickin ***?

IOA's attendence was based on a six month period from the official opening in May to the end of the year. Because of crappy marketing and advertising, it fell short of it's projected figures. This year however they are kicking massive butt down there. Thanks to word of mouth, a better marketing team, and guest incentives, IOA is occasionally the most visited park in daily attendence on weekends including all the Disney parks. Cedar Point from what I understand is really cranking them in this year and may report a record year if things continue. But I'm glad to say Universal finally has their act together down there. Expect to see IOA and CP in the top ten grossing parks this year.
If the first two weeks of May are any indication at all, CP won't just break attendance records, it will obliterate them. It's just been insane so far. It might be time to buy a few shares of FUN and share some of the wealth.

That's why I wanted to make sure I had a few shares (375) before the year got started!
