The New cut off date for all bidders is THURSDAY MAY 24th at 8:30am. With Mavericks opening date not released yet they want to finalize the list of riders so they are ready to go when Maverick Opens for the 2007 season!

RIP MR.SCOTT The ONLY MAYOR OF LIGHTHOUSE
Makes sense. The shame is, I can't bid without knowing when the inaugural ride would be.

Yeah, I was going to mention the same thing.
How can they hold people to their existing bids when the original date has changed and they haven't given another yet? Also, how do they expect new people to bid blindly?

Ride on, MrScott!
I would think that there may be even more bidders who'll want to drop out depending on the ride date. The lower end is still in my price range, but I still gotta know when it will be. Hopefuly there will be an announcement before the 24th at 8:30.

I will retract my bid if there is no set date when bidding ends... will they let me do this if this situation actually happens? I Hope the news is released tomorrow!

According to Bunny at the Red Cross you can pull your bid if needed when they announce the date that Maverick will be open. I might have to do that as well. So Iam in the same boat as most of ya!
RIP MR.SCOTT The ONLY MAYOR OF LIGHTHOUSE
Bunny said that many people have already withdrew their bid when the opening was delayed. She told me that I could retract my bid if the date was announced and I couldn't make it. So you can leave your bid up and when the day of the ride is finally announced you can then decide if you can make it. If people cancell she said they will just go down the list of bidders in order, till they get 72 people who can make it.
