Ha... Yeah I would disagree about the public comment.

My two cents: Yes I think they do. I also think they're the ones who start the 500 foot floorless rumors, just to steer us away from the actual facts.

(It's actually a 550 foot flying ;) )

Can you even imagine a 500 foot flying coaster? whoa!! :)

on a similar note, why do you think all of the "BIG" coasters are sit down. physically they could do a 300' tall inverted, right?? *** Edited 7/1/2005 5:14:01 AM UTC by halltd***

It seems like it would be possible but the only problems I can really think of would be the lift, and the inversions. The lift would obviously have to be elevator since well its 300' tall and no one wants to ride a chain lift that long. The inversion part would be the speed that you are at when traveling through them. Wouldn't there be excessive G forces or some serious slamming into the OTSR? Other than that I think it’s possible.

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

Of course it is possible. There are hundreds of possibiities for new attractions, but many parks simply do not have enough money to build them.

Well if you had legs that you would like to keep then no.

101 on Magnum and counting...

hmmm...you think MF would rip your legs off if it was inverted?? i'm not sure why it would, but you could be right i guess.

Does MF rip your arms off when you put your arms up?

i thought of that before i posted. but, then i was like, well, you "hold" your arms up. ya know, you are consciously thinking about needing to hold them up in the air. but, your legs are just sorta dangling there. so, i guess it could be possible for "some" sort of damage. but, i highly doubt it.

wicked twister is the highest inverted coaster at 215'. but, the highest "circuit" coaster is alpengeist at 195'. so, invert circuit coasters haven't even broken the 200' mark yet. there has to be SOME reason for that.

500 feet is much diffrent than 300 feet. Have you ever put your hands up on dragster? Sure you can but you have to hold them up there with some force. Same would be with legs but diffrent.

Last time i rode Raptor i was definately sitting down ;)

Money may be the ultimate factor when it comes to building new attractions, but available SPACE is also a major issue.

I think that has to be the main factor among any thing. But in a big corporation, they may have the money and not the area. And as we all know... Cedar Point is running out of space to build stuff. (sarcasm)

All this talk of an inverted-giga when in reality the only "inverted hyper" is Wicked Twister. The tallest circuit is Alpengeist at 195'. And honestly... who do you think would build one at this point in time?

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

do you think they want to spend their free time on a CP enthusiast site discussing whether 12E may or may not equate to Kinzel's shoe size.

Hmm, I finally found out what the 12E means yesterday... You'd not really ever think of it either.
