Are there bike racks at CP?

I have gotten more and more into cycling this year and have wondered if you are able to ride a bike up to CP for the day and lock it? Of course this will mean that you will not have to pay for parking but has anynone ever done this and are you even allowed to do it? Would parking offsite and riding a bike would even be possible?

I know you can't walk the causeway, but don't know if that extends to peddle bikes also.

The best thing to do in this case is e-mail them. I've found that more often than not, they respond swiftly with a proper answer.

Bicycles and foot traffic is not allowed on the Causeway per the sign at the entrance to it. Also, there are no bike racks once you reach the park.

What about the Chaussee?

Just chain your bike to one of the flag poles at the entrance. I'm sure nobody will care.

I believe you can bike down that road, dj. But once you get to the toll booth, there might be a sign that says no bicycles on property (or something like that). So they might hassle you at the booth. Remembering from other threads about this I think people have just chained their bike to the fence at the back of the parking lot at the request of the park.

Oh that's easy, just go chain it up to Kinzels fence.

^ Nice!

I am thinking it will be too much of a hassle to even try. I will send an email to CP and let you guys know if I hear anything back.

I thought there was a bike rack near the Chausee toll booth at one time, but there could very well be my fuzzy memory.

But, what if you wanted preferred parking.

If you wanted to help, you should have turned it into lost and found. Only a small percentage of people who visit the park also visit this site. Additionally, unless you found it by a bike rack. You would have been better off starting a new thread. That is of course assuming your legit. I see this is your 1st post, and with a name like Earn It, I wonder.

Probably a spammer that'll later either edit the post to include a URL for SEO or add a signature, etc. Pretty good way to do it, and make Google think you have a relevant site.

That's what I figured.
