Are backpacks allowed on rides?

I'm assuming the answer is no... but would cinch sacks be allowed on rides in Camp Snoopy, or even the Mine Ride? I don't want to bring up the whole topic of fanny packs again, but it would be nice to carry around just a few items in a small backpack. At Disney you can bring rides on practically everything, but I know Cedar Point is more strict.

Thanks!!

As far as I know, the only rides you can take anything on are Skyride, CP&LE Railroad, the carousels, and Iron Dragon.

Ok thanks and I appreciate you taking the time to answer!

Yeah, your best bet is to leave them with a non rider, get a locker, or place them in the bins since most rides have bins for you.

You can bring things on practically everything at Disney because practically nothing at Disney exerts the types of forces required for you to loose something. Please use a locker as opposed to the idiot boxes; fellow riders will be appreciative.

Lose/loose... there's a difference.

Why doesn't CP put the pouches on the rides like Disney does. To solve the problem of extreme forces just make it a zipper, Velcro, or button and there is no longer a need for bins or lockers.

I'm not sure that would eliminate the issue with the boxes; the problem being that the park is communicating to the guests that they can bring items on the ride with them they don't need, thereby slowing down the dispatch times due to farting around securing said items.

And furthermore, taking out the lockers would be a loss of revenue, so I don't see that happening.

Leave your crap in the car. I don't understand when we became such a high maintenance culture that had to carry crap at all times. I have a 3-year-old and we travel with less crap than most people.

Bins or no bins, it doesn't matter. Busch Gardens has a strict no loose article policy and no bins on all of their coasters, and they still stack like crazy.

Guests are just slow and dumb. That is all there is to it.

Absolutely the bins matter.

When two dozen people-instead of sitting right down in a train-pass through the train to the other side to place their items in a bin that is directly connected to another bin that two dozen other people are also trying to access, that takes additional time. Is it only 20 or 30 seconds a train? Sure, but 20-30 seconds when the queue is already an hour adds 15 or so minutes to your wait; now multiply that 15 minuets on Magnum, Mantis, Raptor, Gatekeeper, Maverick, etc. and see how fast it adds up.

I personally don't appreciate having an hour drained out of my day because some tool cant take ten minutes out of his to take something back to the car. Your iPad, makeup kit, wagon tongue, MP3 player, Tarheels basketball or giant racially insensitive banana can remain very happily in your vehicle, hotel room or locker.

That's why I wear some sort of cargo-style pants. Everything I may "need" can be stuffed into a close-able pocket and forgotten about until needed.

The new pants that just showed up yesterday may even have room for the wagon tongue. Tons o' pockets!

Even though I always wear cargo shorts and never have a problem, I would still like it for CP to get a system like Universal where you have free lockers for the amount of time the wait time is for that particular ride. I love that system, but I know CP's locker system=profit so I doubt this would ever happen.

Free lockers would not fix the problem of people wearing inaproprate shoes at floorless rides.

^Universal has Dragon Challenge, a B&M invert but they still have free lockers.

How do they handle the flip flop and slip on shoe problem?
