arcade status

Just curious. Last year my wife and I went closing weekend. We spent some money in the arcade. Always fun to get away from the crowd. The arcade didn't restock any of the prizes though, because it was closing weekend. So When we're there this time is it just gonna be a spider ring or a X-box this year too? Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone else...... Don't spend any money in the arcade!! There aren't any prizes left.

Cedar Fair's arcades are no match for the power of Six Flags' arcades.

Yup I remember a few years back we went near closing weekend and there wasn't anything left for prizes. So we just saved our points for the next season.

I went yesterday and it was a sad sight. There was very little left. A lot of big ticket items and some of the little 5 to 50 ticket items. Not much of the in between stuff like the glass ware was left. Last year on closing day, it was a mess. The prize counter was swamped and it looked like the place had been looted.

Just another coaster junkie at Point Buzz

I really don't understand the concept of not restocking the prizes towards the end of the season. It's not like there is no where to store leftover prizes for the next season.

All I wanted to do all season was blow my paychecks on the pokemon claw machines, but since I worked there I couldn't D:

was there closing day and was impressed with the arcade. Nothing like last year. Looks like they stocked it up for next year already. The crowd was pretty thin too, so it was nice to take a break in there. Let the stomach settle a little.

I noticed the Frontier Town arcade was closed up on Sunday morning. I'm not sure if they opened it up or not later in the day as we never made it back there again.

I wanted to go spend money on the Zippo game. To my dismay they replaced the Zippo's with those crazy shaped rubber bands. I hope it was just an end of the year thing and they will be back next year. I did not check the machines up near Johnny Rockets. So its possible only the Gemini Arcade had them replaced.

I checked every Zippo game in the park (to the best of my knowledge) and they all had those rubber bands. I was disappointed too. That game is always a good way to empty a pocket full of quarters. I won a Dale Jr. one last year in the Breakers arcade. I was unsuccessful this season though.

On a side note, did anyone notice that they replaced the rotating wire game? I like to play that once per visit and was disappointed to see another game in its place.

Besides fasination, I miss the break the plate game.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

My wallet is glad to know that Wacky Wire is no longer.

There was a Wacky Wire booth set up kind of between Johnny Rockets and the Bank-a-Ball with the giant gorillas each time I went there. I've never tried that game at Cedar Point, the ending just seems too difficult to finish.

I remember my brothers G-friend on opening day won a Fuji Digital camera!!!
But the arcade i heard looked real grim and i hope they did not take the lighters out i just love that game i have a bad habit emptying the thing !!! for what i want of course, but i hope they keep the lighters in there, i need a new one soon enough and next year will be the right time for me to need one! as a matter of fact opening day to be precise!!
