Aquatrax

Can I once again say that I've been wanting it to be an Aquatrax since the start of the season (or at least since we found it was Intamin, I had wanted a floorless initially).

I dont think people came to CP for WWL, thats why I dont see them putting in an aquatrax, I doubt it would bring alot of people to the park.

The only aquatrax out is themed, so do you want CP to try that? Most likely it wont be anything like disney, and personally, if you took out the theming at the only one in existence you dont have anything that looks thrilling.

It's not something I would wait in line for, I dont think most people are going to wait a long time for a semi-thrilling/water ride.

I could see them putting this in because they would be replacing a water ride with a water ride, but I dont see myself waiting more than 10min for one.

Of course this is all my opinion, but so is everyone that sais it would be amazing, Im sure most of you havent ridden an aquatrax ;)

As long as it's fun, I dont care what it is. Aquatrax, windwalker(though that's pretty much dead), Goliath version, launch, looping, I dont care...just as long as I can ride it and it's fun and different, I'm happy. Some people need to just accept that it just could be what you dont want it to be. And if it is, are you saying you wouldnt go on it? Who's to say it wont be fun, and thrilling.....have you been on Atlantis Adventure? I take it you havn't. Just because it doesnt have inversions, high speeds or an insane layout doesnt mean it wont be a great ride.

It doesnt "look" thrilling. But at the same time no one can really defend it and say its amazing since no one here has ridden it.

The reason people are like this is probably because CP hasnt put in just a regular moderate thrilling ride in quite some time.

Atlantis Adventure looks pretty fun, but I dont think it would be without all that themeing, and I am concerend on what CP would try. We all dont want a Disaster Transport with water ;)

I'm not saying I wouldn't ride it, i'm just hoping for something newer, something never seen before. I don't care if this thing is 200 or 500 feet, just give me something unique. I think that raptor is a better coaster than TTD or Magnum (not that those aren't great). Size is not everything, so i don't want you guys to think that I won't appreciate something smaller. Just give me originality, and I'll be happy.

I agree about the Disaster Transport! That's what it reminds me of...'it' being that Aquatrax. It reminds me of a cross between the Wildcat & Disaster Transport.

The Wildcat doesn't look like much, but it's fun. And I don't believe that they'd make all this trouble over an "okay" ride. They're obviously very proud of it...so much so that they're acting secretive about it.

I'm putting it out here: It's going to be Goliath's twin! Just like that Kingda Ka (is that the name?) is a better twin of TTD...even though the damn thing apparently doesn't run that well. I believe P2007 will be a better twin of Goliath. That's my OPINION & I'm sticking to it! I say 'Good Day!'

Man i hope that your right...but when you really think about it, Goliath is kind of like a twin to Millenium. I could go for two Gigacosters in one park though, that could be sweet.

why is it called an Aquatrax??? What special thing does it do that other roller coasters dont?

i assume that it goes into the water at some point, creating a huge splash or something like that...

An aquatrax would be great down here in Nashville right now, the temperature just hit 100. Probably close to that in sandusky i'm guessing.

Not even close, its about low to mid 80's. We (at least in West Michigan) had storms roll through for most of the morning that I think helped keep it from getting overly warm today.

After 4 yrs I assume this next coaster will have awesomeness unparalled.

Whatever this coaster is, I hope it'll scare me!

Lil, Leslie what do you mean that KK is better than TTD? :(:(:(:( That AquaTrax looks awesome and something new in the states. the winds of change are a'blowin. were going in a whole new direction.

I only mean better as in the extra height and hill at the end. As far as downtime goes, TTD apparently has been running more than the Kingda Ka. Don't worry, I only like Cedar Point, babe. ;-)

I hope I'm right, too. And that's true that the Goliath is another Millennium Force. And it would be really great to have two Giga's in the same park.

It's pretty humid downtown (Downtown Detroit). It's sticky humid. It's so quiet here in the office. (I'm about to go get some Godiva chocolates)

What if the new coaster is about 350 feet?!!?? Ooh, never thought of that!

And if its only 70 feet?? What then?? As long as it is a fun ride, I'm there.

It's at CP, so I'm there! Whatever it is, it will be great.

I think it will just be an all out fun ride whatever it is.

I hope that is just a typical steel coaster that is amazing, just like Expedition GeForce. Project 2007 dosen't have to break records to be a good ride, it just needs some nice elements packed into it.

If its 70 ft. i don't know what i will do, LOL!

Guys and Gals,

It's a roller coaster...and it's at Cedar Point!!! We have nothing to be worried about! I don't want an Aquatrax, but if it is, I'm sure it will be a darn good one!!

Just have faith...

just think, if it is this aquatrax, that's why they kept the WWL building. to add to the design.
